Egyptian Egg on Obama’s Face (It's a Gigantic Egg)
Townhall.com ^ | July 7, 2013 | Michael Youssef

Posted on 07/07/2013 7:51:10 AM PDT by Kaslin

In 2011, President Obama quickly called on President Mubarak to acquiesce to demonstrators’ demands and leave office.

With Mubarak out of the way, Obama proceeded to support the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood, who succeeded in stealing the revolution.

Obama’s support extended to an ex-con named Muhammad Morsi. By his own admission, Morsi was in prison during the January 25 demonstration. But he was in contact with members of Hamas, who broke into the prison and freed Morsi and other Muslim Brotherhood prisoners.

When Morsi ran for the presidency, Obama continued to support him, even when it was clear that the close election was rigged by dubious tactics.

With six possible Muslim Brotherhood operatives working in the Obama administration, and Obama’s full-fledged support of Morsi, you would think that Egyptians would be in love with Obama. But the deeply troubled Egyptian public is in no way enamored with this White House. Quite the contrary.

More than 40 percent of Egyptian citizens currently must survive on about $2 US per day. Lines to purchase gasoline stretch on for hours. The lines for a tank of propane—needed for cooking and other necessities of life—extend for up to nine hours. Electricity is cut off from 2-3 hours per night.

When the Egyptian masses finally couldn’t take it anymore, 22 million people signed a petition to recall Morsi’s election—more than twice the number of people than originally voted for him.

Then something totally unprecedented happened: 30 million people took to the streets. The largest mass demonstration in human history.

The Egyptian Army had tried on many occasions to mediate between President Morsi and the opposition. But Morsi autocratically and arrogantly refused to talk to anyone other than his masters in the Muslim Brotherhood headquarters.

In order to avoid the stigma of a coup, the military leaders met with a cross-section of the Egyptian population and religious leaders, including Islamists. As a result, they produced a wise plan calling for an election and appointing the chief justice of the Supreme Court as the interim president.

But here is the irony: while millions of Egyptians responded to Morsi’s ouster by joyfully dancing in the streets, the Muslim Brotherhood advisors in the White House helped Obama produce a non-descript statement. With his wishy-washy message about those who are democratically elected, Obama confirmed in Egyptian minds that he is in the pocket of the Muslim Brotherhood.

It is downright depressing to see the leader of the free world unable to comprehend the Islamic understanding of democracy. To the Islamist, democracy means “one man, one vote, one time.” Once they have their power, there’s no reason to ever have another election.

Thank God for the wise and courageous Egyptian people who comprehended that plan and stopped it before it was too late.

And thank God for the persecuted Christians in Egypt who have cried out to God while withstanding injustice during the reign of the Muslim Brotherhood. As a committed Christian, I believe God has heard their cries, even when President Obama covered his ears. They have set an example for every harassed believer in the world, including in America, to pray and hope that God will hear our prayers.

Your Yankee heritage is showing.

A very large percentage of the world’s population doesn’t have continuous electrical power distribution.

Oh, really?

I have a new Kitchenaid French Double Freezer which went on the blink last week during our killer heat wave. I came home and almost everything in the freezer defrosted ... all of the premium gelatos but, importantly, the thick cut bacon was saved.

Whew!

One needs electricity.

When did English become Egypt’s language? Why are the signs in English? Who made them?

The signs are in English because they are meant to be read by us, the Americans. And they are being read by American. It’s one of the benefits of our technological world

No idea who made them, but, unlike Rachel Jantel, I’m sure that a lot of Egyptians can read and speak English.

Egypt's version of campaign promise reform, and for a guy who's making campaigning 24/7 the new American Presidency, it sets a scary example of what could (should) happen to him.

When Obama gets scared he gets quiet, or at best mousey and squishy. Certainly nowhere near all wee-wee'd up! No eat your peas moments. No their turn in the back of the bus. No descriptions of what his son/s might look like.

Not when he installed a law breaker Attorney General (his people) and he knows the Congress will not lay a glove on him ever. I doubt we can survive 3-1/2 more years of this.

I don’t believe this number First it was 14 million. Then 17 million. Now 30 million? C’mon! Are there any reliable sources for the number of protestors?

If Obama were in a Morsi situation, what would his first reactions be?

1) Have the NSA pull the plug on all obamaphones.

2) Ask Eric Holder to call up his buddies Potts & Horriuchi.

3) Recall all amounts available on all EBT cards to any merchants in the protest areas.

4) Set up safe havens for all LGBT's, with refreshments Michelle's approved drinks list includes, no larger than 12 oz size.

5) Find some young men who might look like his sons if he had any. This is for future use no matter which side wins.

6) Call the SEIU to mix in with the crowd and tag or mark them with identifiers so the Teamsters can beat them to death at a point out of view of the cameras.

7) Find a global warming effect from the gathering and mobs in order to write an executive order banning the event. Email that executive order to Lisa Jackson's dog's email account to mobilize drone strikes.

Those are just a few.

“When did English become Egypt’s language? Why are the signs in English? Who made them?”

English is a common second language among the millions of unemployed college grads in Egypt.

I don’t know who printed/made the signs. It probably wasn’t the DNC, ACORN, WHITE HOUSE, or Muslim Brotherhood.

Several years ago, we had the same experience (power outage -- spoiled food). Since then, I've kept a few plastic jugs of salt-water ice in the freezer. When the power goes out for a few hours (a fairly frequent event, thanks to squirrels in summer, and ice in winter); the salt-water ice melts first, and saves the food from thawing even a bit. This simple expedient works for at least half a day.

If you try this, it's important to use salt water, not fresh. That's because salt water melts (goes through phase change) at a much lower temperature than fresh water. Because of the "latent heat of melting (or freezing)" the sacrificial salty ice can save a lot of expensive groceries.

I hadn’t thought of that. I see where the frozen saltwater will absorb heat, then go through a phase transformation and maintaining the same temperature until the transformation is complete and its transition temp will be lower than potable water.

Exactly right (and succinctly put).

I should have mentioned that it’s necessary to make sure that your salty water actually freezes. Very salty water freezes at 0*F (that’s how Fahrenheit originally calibrated his scale). If your freezer isn’t set to sub-zero temperatures, you will have to dilute the salt until it actually freezes. If it doesn’t actually freeze, it won’t be very effective.
