R&B star Akon has suggested that African-Americans living in the US should move back to Africa following George Zimmerman's acquittal in the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin.
The Smack That hitmaker, who was born in Senegal, west Africa, took to his Instagram page after the trial in which Zimmerman was found not guilty of murder and manslaughter by a jury of six women in Sanford, Florida.
Posting a screen grab of the live broadcast of the trial he wrote: "Every African-American in the United States needs to move their money, family, knowledge back to Africa were you will be treated like the royalty you are.
"You don't deserve this treatment. This is not your country."
The 40-year-old star is among a number of stars who reacted to the acquittal of the teenager's killer after jurors accepted his claim that he shot Trayvon in self-defence.
Singer Kelly Rowland shed tears for the teenager and his family, Lil' Kim cried out for justice, and Russell Simmons called for a change to gun laws.
Beyoncé took a moment to honour Martin during her Mrs Carter Show World Tour concert at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennesse. Her concert started about 30 minutes after news of the Zimmerman verdict began to circulate.
Before singing the chorus of I Will Always Love You, she told the crowd : "I'd like to have a moment of silence for Trayvon."
Protests have been held across country. Trayvon's parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, were "heartbroken and devastated," their lawyer said.
Michael Savage was right about one thing: Liberalism is a Mental Disorder.
Liberia was created just for that purpose but, it’s stupid to go there.
By any measure black people are better off in America than anywhere else in the world.
By all means. Go back to Africa.
While there, you can look up the descendents of those who captured your ancestors and sold them to White folks.
The dirty truth is, the descendents of American slaves have to come to grips with the fact that their ancestors were losers. Losers in either battle or tribal conflict.
Going back, you wil quickly realize that, despite the immoral and tragic manner in which your forebears arrived on foreign shores, they ended up much luckier and better off than those who stayed behind.
Good luck with that. Most African blacks can't stand American blacks.
Imagine a few thousand American black people arriving in Somalia. They’re not Somali (unless they’re returnees ... but they won’t return because Somalia is a ghastly place, but I digress). Anyway, they’re not Somali, so that makes them ... wait for it ... slaves, like all the other non-Somali black people in Somalia.
If they go to Somalia they had better leave some rich relatives behind to pay the ransom. Kidnapping for ransom is the primary occupation there. LOL
That’s what the nation of Liberia was founded for.
Funny, there isn’t a stampede to go there.
Hmmm, waiting ....any takers?
They need to know ...if they don’t like it here, they’re always welcome to leave.
No africans I know what anything to do with American No Limit Nigga scum
Most Americans wouldn’t last a year there. Too soft and spoiled by hand outs.
I'm having trouble finding the down side.
Every African-American in the United States needs to move their money, family, knowledge back to Africa
Knowledge! Knowledge ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha oh please stop it you’re killing me ha ha ha ha ha . Need help packing ha ha ha.
Yea, I can see this happening. Not.
Warner Brothers announced today the upcoming release of, ‘The Book of Eli II’ starring Denzel Washington.
In chapter II of this post-apocalyptic thriller, Eli must deliver the book, ‘Cursive for Dummies’, to the colony of black Americans who fled to Kenya and created the country, Kenyica.
The discovery of Oprah Winfrey's hand written memoirs hold the key for the emigrees to survive in Kenyica.
This harrowing tale has our hero barely surviving his voyage to Africa on Rachel Jeantel’s back.
From there the action only picks up.
Look for the movie to be released to theaters in time for Christmas of 2015.
Hadn’t heard the old “royalty” shtick in a lo g time. Was big in the late 60’s and 70’s when they were bing spun up to adopt African sounding names and they were all descendants of kings, queens, etc.
Always wondered why their own tribal kings and queens sold their ancestors in to slavery and how they reconciled that with being African royalty. Also they must have had hundreds of thousands of tiny kingdoms in Africa for the royalty claim to be true.
