Black Civil Rights Attorney rips Juan Williams a new one Over Zimmerman Case

To say Juan Williams and Leo Terrell disagreed on tonight’s Hannity would be a vast understatement. Terrell agreed with Fox News host Sean Hannity – for the first time, ever – about the outcome of the George Zimmerman trial.

Zimmerman was acquitted of murder for shooting teenager Trayvon Martin in Florida. While he respects the verdict, Williams charged that it “lacks a sense of wisdom or compassion for the fact of a dead child and the suffering that the parents and that community have gone through.”

Terrell jumped at Williams’ comments, arguing that compassion doesn’t belong in the courtroom. “Shame on you, Juan Williams. You’re not a lawyer. Let me be clear, as a civil rights attorney, there was not a race case here at all and the jury got it right.”

This is great. A black civil rights attorney that actually knows what constitutes a civil rights case. He rips Juan Williams a new one. This is great entertainment.

Leo Terrell sounding intelligent. That was a first. Of course, even when he was right he had to sound like a screaming maniac.

Yes I saw it!
Great to see, but I think I understand why smart Black attorneys want to protect the “self-defense” laws.
The fact is that 12.5% of the population is responsible for 49% of the gun violence in the country.
I think that smart defense attorneys will want to protect their clients with the laws that on the books right now.
In fact, a case can be made that making our self-defense laws weaker would actually have a very hard impact on:
BLACK DEFENDANTS!

Can’t Fox do better than Juan Williams and Alan Colmes? Or do all Libs appear that dumb?

Williams charged that it “lacks a sense of wisdom or compassion for the fact of a dead child and the suffering that the parents and that community have gone through.”

I'd like to see how Juan would feel sitting at the defense table, in similar circumstance of Zimmerman, with a jury motivated by "a sense of wisdom or compassion ... and the suffering ... (of) parents and (the) community" rather than the facts of the case and the law.

The man shows know sense!

This wouldn’t be the first time my tinfoil hat has been a little tight on my head, but, is it just me, or is the “... it was not a race case; the jury got it right ...” meme spewing out of the mouths of those I half-expected to be saying the opposite indicative of some other ploy? Something’s up.

I am shocked, shocked that for once in his life Leo Terrell actually sounded like a human being. I think one of the reasons why he feels this way is he doesn’t want to get thrown in his face that his best buddy is OJ

Jaun Williams gets smacked down routinely by just about everybody. He’s one of Fox’s token idiots.

I just saw that! Watched the ball game earlier, so watching the replays of BOR, Hannity and Greta now.

Juan just clearly showed what a complete fool he is when it comes to racial bias and understanding anything about the justice system.

Leo Terrell is usually dispicable and difficult to listen to, but this evening he did a major smack-down on Juan!

All the bad of this trial has also brought about some good. I am glad to see it, I hope there are more who stand up.

Here’s a new meme:

DEAR EDITOR:

Well only Zimmerman knows what happened! Who screamed, who started the fight, etc.? It seems either one of them could have stopped the fight and waited for police. Given that Zimmerman was told not to pursue Martin, why was he not charged with obstruction of justice or interference with a police officer?

The sad part about so many trials is that it is not about finding the truth but about concocting a defense story based on lies that generate reasonable doubt. But reasonable doubt about what? Reasonable doubt has been turned on its head. It is no longer about the facts but about a string of lies that cannot be disproved because dead men cannot talk.

The Florida Stand Your Ground Law is screwed up. Stand your ground is for the victim of criminal aggression — not the aggressor. Martin stood his ground and when he got the upper hand was shot through the heart. This is not following the age-old rule of using only equal and necessary force. Zimmerman was a coward to shoot Martin through the heart.

Juan Williams is a racist lackey. Most 8th graders to could wipe the floor with him in a political debate on any subject. He was a product of affirmative action and nothing more. AS such, he represents everything that is wrong with affirmative action and it’s disappointing outcomes.

Wow, that's the dumbest reason I have EVER heard to convict someone of murder!!

If we are going to go there, why not convict him because we don't like the color of his truck? Or the area of town he lives in?

Or, how about convicting him because he CLAIMS to be Hispanic, but his name is Zimmerman!?

I hate to say this but Fox is loaded with token idiots.
Not as badly as the other stations, but loaded just the same.
