House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) dismissed the notion Thursday that Congress is unproductive, adding that the House should be repealing more laws, not adding new ones. …

“Now listen, we made clear when we took over that we weren’t going to be doing commemorative legislation on the floor—a lot of changes. In addition to that, most Americans think we have too many laws! So, I reject the premise to the question,” he said. “We’ve got a big job to do here, we need to stay focused in on those things that are most important to the American people, and right now those things are the economy, jobs, immigration reform, farm bill, important things that the House is working on.” …

We have too many laws.

And too many taxes.

Too many taxes.

Too many laws.

The most productive congress is when it voids a whole bunch of old, obsolete, unproductive laws. In other words get out of the way.

Then how about getting rid of some laws stupid!

I threw a rock through the TV this evening watching the farm show program on using drones for crop survey. Either small radio controlled model airplanes or four rotor helicopters. FAA has said it can’t be done because they need to study what laws they are going to use to regulate the aircraft! They are freakin’ model airplanes for crying out loud! They aren’t regulating model airplanes yet are they?

I’m going to rig up a Telemaster Sr. and put a camera on it. Eff ‘em.

I have been saying for years that the legislature should have a session annually dedicated strictly to cleaning out old laws that are no longer needed.

Although the referenced article doesn’t mention this, Boehner probably ignored the folowing. He probably didn’t mention anything about Congress’s constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers, nor Justice John Marshall’s official clarification that Congress is prohibited from laying taxes in the name of state power issues, essentially any issue which Congress cannot justify under its Section 8-limited powers.

In fact, note that one of the very few aspects of commerce that Congress does have the constitutional authority regulate within a state’s borders is the postal service as evidenced by Clause 7 of Section 8.

Many laws need to be repealed and much of government needs defunding, stop duplication. Giving us a smaller government is productive, adding to the piles of crap is not.

Productivity should include shoveling out the barn.

A “do nothing” Congress is my favorite kind. I get to keep more money in my pocket when we have a “do nothing” Congress. The 8 Gangstas are getting ready to rip off the taxpayers again by shoveling our money at the La Raza racists so they can load illegals onto the Freeway to the Big Pinata.

Now listen, we made clear when we gave you the majority that we don’t want amnesty.
