Can always chase them down with Cessna .... do like the Brit’s did in WW2 against the Buzz bombs and flip them.

How hard would it be to come up with a DIY hobby rocket that can track an IR or radar signature with a speed trap LEO radar gun circuitry and set off a half dozen goose loads within 20’ of the target?

I doubt that anyone far from a drone-port will see any drones. They tend to fly very high. So don’t fire at anything perceived to be a drone, because it will more likely be an odd looking recreational aircraft with a human being aboard.

If it were to be shot or captured disable any power source and move it to another location. It’s a certainty that there is an RF beacon or that it’s last location is known. There might even be a radiological signature. They’re going to find their drone unless steps are taken.

You say that, and I think bait.

I expect drones would fly out of gun range, and besides, shooting projectiles would be dangerous. The most practical solution would be a counter-drone with a camera that flies head-on into the target, just like a killer satellite. I have no doubt that RC hobbyists could design something like that.

I think we have a winnah...
