In D.C. and across the country, protesters call for ‘justice’ for Trayvon Martin (Obama zeroes in)

In most places it was too hot for hooded sweatshirts.

So they came with T-shirts. In Washington, Elaine Morris showed up in one bearing a picture of slain teen Trayvon Martin alongside members of the Ku Klux Klan, with the slogan “Which hoodie looks suspicious?” In Chicago, CeCe Fannin handed out white T-shirts emblazoned with the words “I mean no harm” — for black youth to wear, she said, to make clear they are not a threat.

Obama zeroes in on root cause of racism: clicking car door locks

A day after the Zimmerman verdict, Joseph Brewer Jr. was walking to visit his 5-month-old daughter, something he did every day, when suddenly he was hit with multiple gunshots in the back. Brewer was gunned down just down the street from his Chicago home. Less than an hour later, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. Brewer was black and just 16 years old. Since George Zimmerman wasn't the gunman, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson could not be reached for comment.

Last Thursday, Alexander Mayo was visiting friends and family. After escorting a friend home out of safety concerns for her, Mayo was gunned down while heading to his aunt's home. About two hours later, he was pronounced dead. This deadly shooting occurred in Chicago also. Mayo, who had recently been accepted into a prestigious college, was just 19 years old. He was very close to his mom and protective of his two older sisters. George Zimmerman is not a suspect in the shooting, so Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson could not be reached for comment. Moreover, Obama presently has no plans to hold a press conference on the shooting.

Early on June 25th, Marissa Boyd-Stangley and four other people were driving together in a car in South Side Chicago, minding their own business. Suddenly, another car pulls alongside and begins to open fire. Boyd-Stangley was shot in the head and was dead on the scene. The other four were wounded. Boyd-Stangley was black and just 18 years old. George Zimmerman has been ruled out as a suspect in the deadly shooting, so Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson were unavailable for comment. Nor does Obama plan any press conferences on the teenager's tragic murder.

On the morning of June 13th, Robert Allen had just gotten out of his vehicle when a gunman opened fire from a passing car, one of the bullets fatally hitting him in the abdomen, penetrating his lung. He was the father of an 8-month-old girl. He was gunned down near the home he grew up in. Allen was black and just 19 years old. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would argue hysterically that Allen's case is not analogous to Trayvon Martin's since Allen allegedly had a gang affiliation, unlike Saint Trayvon, who was only caught with a bagful of stolen women's jewelry, a burglary tool and, the night he was shot, decided to give battery a go against the 'gay' 'creepy-ass cracker' with a concealed-carry permit, which is why he was shot. Moreover, and most importantly, Allen was not shot by George Zimmerman. (Had Zimmerman been the shooter, Allen's gang affiliation magically vanishes as he swiftly gets his place in the pantheon of illustrious civil rights heroes fallen in battle.)

Liberals breezily dismiss the black-on-black murder sprees in Chicago and other cities because it's just gangs warring over drugs.

Got that? If you didn't, check out the case of Sterling Sims who was fatally shot inside his home a few weeks ago. He was 5 years old. His 31-year-old mother was murdered with him. No big deal, Libbies would say, the 5-year-old must've been some sort of Chicago drug ringleader with mom as second-in-command. And since officials have completely ruled out any Zimmerman involvement here as well, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson were unavailable for comment, and I'm sure Obama has more pressing matters to tend to, oh, such as holding a major, history-making "presser" delving into the minutiae of a local shooting case in a little town in Apartheid Florida and recounting painful memories of life in the deep-south Jim Crow hellholes called Hawaii and California 35 years ago when Obama was Trayvon Martin.

It's not that Obama's trying to stoke animosity between blacks and Latinos, given George Zimmerman's status as the world's first known case of successful, Hispanic-to-Caucasian racial reassignment surgery, pulled off by the New York Times. Instead, Zimmerman has morphed into the same handy default distraction device that the other George -- George W. Bush -- once was. Major Democrat town going bankrupt? Just say George Zimmerman. Your IRS Chief Counsel illegally targeting political opponents? Not to worry, just say George Zimmerman. Another failed Recovery Summer? George Zimmerman. Middle class implosion, falling wages, spiking gas prices? Press 1 for George Zimmerman. Obamacare train wreck, NSA snooping? George Zimmerman. Stories about gagged Benghazi survivors? George Zimmerman. Big-city murder sprees? Too many George Zimmermans running loose in department stores, following Trayvon Martins down the aisles. Sky-high black unemployment? Blame George Zimmerman, inventor of those notoriously racist clicking car door locks, blocking you from opportunities.

At his no-questions-allowed "press conference" Friday, Obama complained that very few blacks "haven't had the experience of getting on an elevator and a woman clutching her purse nervously and holding her breath until she had a chance to get off." Actually, no need to ride an elevator with Obama -- or even be a woman -- to get the urge to tightly clutch your purse or wallet, holding your breath until we all -- whites, blacks, Hispanics, etc. -- have a chance to get off when his term ends, given his insatiable appetite for ever higher taxes.

Bottom line if you're race-obsessed Obama? Get rid of clicking car door locks, elevators and department stores -- racism problem fixed. Piece of cake.

Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...
