Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., told a Fox News reporter that the George Zimmerman acquittal in the killing of Trayvon Martin could be an invitation for white people to shoot young black men.
Rangel was caught leaving his congressional office by Jesse Waters, who does segments for Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor" after host Bill O'Reilly said Rangel had refused multiple invitations to appear on the show. The interview was recorded Tuesday and aired Wednesday on O'Reilly's show.
Waters challenged Rangel on comments he made on MSNBC, where he suggested that if police had found a black Zimmerman they might have beaten him to death.
Rangel, who took an elevator and continued walking to his waiting car during the interview, said that a black man might not have been beaten to death, but likely wouldn't have been allowed to go home without being charged, as Zimmerman was. He also wouldn't have been found not guilty, he said.
"When a local community finds that it has affection for the defendant, fairness is subjective in the minds of the jury," he said.
Waters asked him about addressing the problem of black-on-black crime and said that young black men are 10 times more likely to commit homicides than whites and Hispanics combined.
"Well, that sounds like an invitation for the Zimmermans of the world to start shooting them down," Rangel said.....

Why shouldn’t people shoot blacks who attempt to murder them? If Zimmerman hadn’t, he would be dead and the racist thug Martin would probably be eagerly anticipating another victim.

TM's death had nothing to do with race, and everything to do with GZ defending his own life which was at risk at the time. No sane, rational person is reading anything into the verdict other than GZ was justified in using deadly force to protect his life. End of story. No one is going to go out and target young black men any more than they already do - which by the way happens to be mostly other young black men.
Charlie, why would all the Blacks that currently shoot other Blacks be affected by a Latino who was just defending himself from a wannabe Thug who probably would have grown up to be a Murderer anyway?
Oh I get it, it isn’t fair that the Blacks that the other Blacks shoot can’t defend themselves in the Gun Control Capitals of America, Chicago and D.C.

In what country, now or in ancient times, did a 12% minority tell the 72% majority what to do? Especially when that majority controls most of the government, the economy, the food, the firearms, the culture and the police. Name just one instance. Do they have no idea the fire they’re playing with or do they not believe it’ll ever come to that?
This is all about the “Stand Your Ground Law”. They want to claim GZ was a lone vigilante and he got away with stalking and killing angel Trayvon so now all blacks are supposed to march in the streets demanding states get rid of the SYG law. I heard Van Jones say the same thing to Newt Gingrich in a debate on CNN. It is all by design.
