Actually I meant marriage before this recent creation of gay marriage, such as common law marriage, which is only legal in 9 states, but is recognized in all 50.
Remember, the federal government only legalized gay marriage for itself a few weeks ago.
There remains some legal cases and lawsuits to mop up the details about it being recognized in all 50 states, but that wont take long, this states argument was always a pro-gay marriage argument, as I have been pointing out for quite some time.
GIs, federal employees, and any and all Americans will be able to live in any state and have their legal marriage recognized.
Silly me. I thought they were supposed to decide based on the Constitution.
