Nah, this report is bogus. I talked to him Today while he was getting his tires changed at the Walmart in Ionia, Mi.
He told me he was headed to a couple week getaway at Mackinaw Island.
“I keep seeing stay out of Austin, DFW, etc... What’s up with that?”
The reference is to the inner cities with their low-information, mindlessly liberal, tribal justice, welfare dependent populations. The suburbs, say 10-20 miles out, are a world away.
I can’t believe he was speeding after just getting found not guilty of murder. I’d be extra careful not to break any law with the liberal media watching my every move. That said, I totally understand why he was carrying a gun. There are people that want to kill him and would if given the chance. He has every right to own a gun.

Yes, you’d think he’d be extra careful as you say.
However, this was a small town on his way to somewhere else - who knows where? He’s in a hurry to get to his destination and get off the roads altogether, I’m sure. At the same time when you are travelling in unfamiliar territory it’s not always easy to know what the speed limit is for every stretch of road. Or how severely enforced the limit is even when you see a sign. Many times you’re being careful about driving safely in traffic and miss a roadside sign.
So I give him the benefit of the doubt. I don’t believe he was being deliberately careless.
