I could be wrong - and I hope I’m not - but I think this is all for show.
Ramadamadingdong, which ends next week, is always a dangerous time because Muslims love to celebrate their “holy days” with killing, and the “holier” the day, the more killings there will be. So I don’t think it took a genius to figure out that forecasting danger, with or without the supposed intercepts of AQ “chatter,” would not be out of line.
Polling must be bad on Benghazi and Obama’s other screw-ups, so he’s probably hoping this will get him security brownie points. Either that or scare us. But I’m not sure either one of those plans will work.
Now if the US government had done something to stop those jailbreaks that freed over 2,000 AQ terrorists in the last week alone, or something to strengthen the anti-Islamic forces, or even something to crush jihadis in our own country and let them know terrorism is not okay - something like taking Hassan out and shooting him - I might be more impressed. But this impresseth me not.
As I say, I hope I’m right. But if I’m not, and there really is an attack, it’s because Obama has done nothing but coddle these Islamic radicals for the last 5 years.
