Federal authorities are boosting security in the United States after intelligence agencies detected a credible threat to Western interests overseas and the government began closing diplomatic posts in some Muslim countries, according to homeland security officials.
The Department of Homeland Security is increasing security measures at airports, train stations and other transportation hubs, and expanding scrutiny of visitors coming into the United States, two officials told ABC News.
The FBI, meanwhile, is "working sources" and taking other "logical steps" to monitor any potential threat, an FBI official said.

They have had the bomb at Quantico since last May.
The only reason the plot was foiled:
"The suicide bomber dispatched by the Yemen branch of Al Qaeda last month to blow up a United States-bound airliner was actually an intelligence agent for Saudi Arabia who infiltrated the terrorist group and volunteered for the mission, American and foreign officials said Tuesday. " Source
I just cannot fathom the mentality of someone who wants to blow himself up starting from the crotch. Boggles my mind entirely.
The real reason they’re afraid of how much Snowden knows and will leak?
Unless they are coming from the southern border and intending to set up illegal households...
“The Department of Homeland Security is increasing security measures at airports”
Great, the harassment intensifies.
Meanwhile, according to news accounts, the “team” is in place waiting to act. Seems to me monitoring the borders now is useless if the info is accurate, what are we monitoring at the borders if the “team” is already in place.
Thanks for the thread first..... Such as this activity from this administration makes me think “wag the dog” is in play ....
Stay safe !
Just as an added note.... there are also concerns of devices planted “in the body” which appear to escape detection. Their love of death and destruction knows no boundaries!
Yes!...but that’s not going to happen...the Saudi’s have the edge in visas..like an open door policy with the administration....with “the flow of oil and price as their strong arm tactic when necessary......which is also why they are supporting EPA (backdoor) and working hard to stop the “fracking” in our country....needless saying seen as a threat to their upper hand.
Unfortunately the underground armament business is doing well now....only with an investigation , and that is being done, can they know the hands which these missles travel before their ultimate destination.
I learned long ago...the US markings on any piece of armament used only means ‘made by’....not necessary “given” to the the hands that use them.
We’ve armed so many in the Middle East for years that these pass from one border to the next.....legally and not.
“Just as an added note.... there are also concerns of devices planted in the body which appear to escape detection”
The senior U.S. official said there is concern about devices that could be implanted inside the body of a terrorist.
We are concerned about surgically implanted devices, they said. These are guys who have developed the techniques to defeat our detection methods.

Hmmm...Surgically-implanted, caulk-encased, non-metallic explosive device.
The White House said top administration officials gathered late Saturday over a terror threat that provoked the State Department to close more than 20 diplomatic posts and issue a worldwide travel alert.
National Security Adviser Susan Rice chaired a meeting with 12 administration officials including the secretaries of State, Defense and Homeland Security and the directors of the FBI, CIA and NSA.
Rice and Lisa Monaco, the assistant to the president for homeland security and counterterrorism, then briefed President Obama on the latest developments.
Is this an orange alert or a red alert? :-)
They’re expanding checks on visitors. Unless they’re muslim.
