Unknown Republican Blocks Bill That Will Require Search Warrant Before Police Access Emails

An unknown Republican Senator is blocking a bill that will require police to obtain a search warrant before accessing emails and online messages. The Hill reported:

An anonymous Republican senator has delayed a vote on legislation that would require police to obtain a warrant before accessing emails and other online messages.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) pushed for a vote on the bill before Congress left for its August recess. He secured unanimous support from Democrats, but at least one Republican objected to the bill, according to a Democratic Senate aide.

Leahy had hoped to fast-track the bill to passage with unanimous support, but the opposition means a vote will be delayed until at least September.

Who would be against this? And, for what reason? I have a list...starting with McCain.

I’d have to know what kind of ‘fast one’ the democrats were trying to pull before I decide whether the Republican is a good guy or a bad guy.

Can’t we kick out McCain so that the Dems are forced to stop using him as their token “be-partisan” Republican?

But it appears that every democrat is for it, and perhaps the GOPe as well. So don't get caught on the wrong side of this fence.

Shouldn't be hard to find out who the anonymouse Senator is. Another anonymouse Senator should leak it to a trustworthy journalista (yes, there are one or two on the conservative side).....and, voila !......the rat Senator doing the blocking will be anonymouse no longer.

Is this not a pathetic situation?

The RNC/GOPe owns the Senate. AND the weepy Speaker of the House is John Boehner, and House Whip is Boehner's mini-me, Eric Cantor -- THAT is the bad news.

Progress in this ideological war against the Vichy GOPe begins with replacing Boehner and Cantor, AND McConnell in the Senate with Ted Cruz.

Why does Arizona keep sending this dirtbag to the senate?

Because Dems cross the aisle and vote for him.

I have five likely culprits.

1. McCain
2. McCain
3. McCain
4. McCain
5. McCain

So far, McCain looks the most likely.
