Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said on Friday that if House Republicans end up sending their collection of immigration bills to a conference with the Senate, Democrats would win.

“If we go to conference, we would win,” Reid told a Nevada radio station.

YES, we all know this and that is why everyone should be calling Boner's office with a message of NO BILL.

Of course. A number of Dems (Reid, Schumer, etc) have said as much. The Repub leadership knows this as well but doesn’t have the spine to kill this bill. Instead they will pass something that they are happy with, crow about it, then be shocked that the final bill out of committee is so different.

Bad move on their part. They just hipped everyone on the Republican side.

Of course, if the Republicans are already aware of this and simply do not care -- if they are already bought -- then we're screwed.

With the demodummies its all about “winning” but, is it ever good for the country?

Sounds more like the plan is to have it be good for the demodummies and screw the country.

Very few in Washington care about Americans. How did it come to be illegal immigration supersedes our economy with millions of Americans out of work .Congress wants to talk about illegal immigration and we get kicked to the curb.

Reid’s right. The GOP will fold like a cheap lounge chair in a hurricane.

The real threat here is not immigration. Because every single bill offered in the senate and the house are in agreement over one thing.

To make e-Verify *mandatory* for all employment.

This is a totalitarian effort, because it means you cannot be legally employed unless you have federal government permission to be employed.

And while the e-Verify system is *supposed* to just verify that you have a legitimate SSN, do you think for an instant that it will not be corrupted to politically persecute people?

The program is operated by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in partnership with Social Security Administration.

And we’ve all learned to *trust* the DHS, haven’t we?

So unless you either trust the federal government, or are willing to spend the rest of your life in the gray economy, being paid in cash and buying everything in cash; you had better hope and pray that this is KILLED DEAD.

E-Verify is not the problem. We already have paper processes that do the same thing except it is easier to commit fraud with the I-9 process.

Whats the point of a two party system when they are co-opted and corrupted as bad as they are. people that call themselves republicans are fools.

The republican party needs to collapse so that liberty and some real american constitutional defending party can rise from the ashes...

however nice that sounds its to late ... Amerika is a totalitarian state already and we are slow to realize it..... as one frog said to the other ... is it getting warm in here....

Does Boehner even reply to the Presidents speeches or the scandals in The O Admin? Or is he on vacation more than O? Just don’t see him leading the party. Maybe playing golf and smoking?????
