This movie is a ripoff of Star Trek’s “The Cloud Minders” episode. Hollywood has truly run out of new ideas. They need to keep recycling old plots, story lines and sometimes entire movies in the hope that the audience is to young or too stupid to remember the original.

Hollywood has always recycled. It has become more blatant in recent years...perhaps the AIDS toll when the most original checked out. This is pure speculation.

Usually, the first is the best. One movie that contradicted this was Life on the Mississippi. This was the one I liked, in fact, the best movie of any genre ever made.

Mine featured Robert Lansing and David Knell. It is a story of a nasty old mean old river boat pilot who takes an orphan under his wing and teaches him how to be a man. Mine was a remake of a movie with the same name from the silent movie era.
