Wrong ship. You may as well have compared the Yorktown class USS Enterprise from WW2 with the Ford class one we are starting to build.

We could just as easily put Mk41 VLS tubes on a container ship. Our of our AOR replenishment ships would make more sense, though.
But I am sure that in case of war with China, the ChiComs would hit our major bases on both coasts, Hawaii and, above all, Guam with missile carrier container ships.
