GOP lawmaker: House has votes to impeach Obama ‘tomorrow’ By Blake Neff - 08/12/13 01:37 PM ET

GOP Rep. Blake Farenthold (Texas) said House Republicans have enough votes to impeach President Obama, but warned the effort to remove him from office would be unsuccessful and could damage the country.

“If we were to impeach the president tomorrow, you could probably get the votes in the House of Representatives to do it,” Farenthold said at an Aug. 10 town-hall meeting.

In a video of the event, Farenthold is shown responding to a constituent who asked if he would support an investigation into whether Obama forged his birth certificate.

Farenthold initially expressed regret that Congress did not more closely examine Obama’s eligibility for the presidency during the 2008 campaign, and then sought to explain why Republicans had not pursued impeachment.

The Texas lawmaker said the country would be harmed if the House voted to impeach Obama but the Democratic-controlled Senate failed to remove him from office.

“What message do we send to America if we impeach Obama and he gets away with what he’s impeached for and is found innocent?” Farenthold said.

Farenthold pointed to the failed effort to remove then-President Clinton from office in 1998.

“As a result of impeaching President Clinton, we’ve redefined what sex is to a lot of our young people, and we’ve said that it’s OK to lie to Congress,” warned Farenthold.

Farenthold is the latest GOP lawmaker to draw attention for questioning the president’s citizenship.

Last week, Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) told a constituent that he had doubts about the president’s citizenship but that a probe into the matter was not politically possible.

Rep. Ted Yoho (R-Fla.) told a constituent on Aug. 3 that he would support a bill calling for an investigation into whether Obama’s birth certificate was forged.

Impeachment does NOT begin and end with a vote. Impeachment is a phased process. First phase is to have hearings, explain to the American public why (or, if it leads there, why not) 0’ is scum. Only a later phase involves the trial and vote. If the first phase is not even contemplated, we’ll never get to a vote. Only IF the process is adhered to and the case made and EXPOSED, would we know for sure that the Senate would not convict.

I say so what about Crazy Joe the used car salesman. Let the RATs be embarrassed about him.
The Republicans need to go through the motions and bring Obama into the light since
some of his supporters are willing to sink with his ship.

That’s exactly what happened with Clinton and its why the Republicans tread so carefully on eligibility/impeachment hearings. Liberals love being able to see their guy as a victim/martyr.

In case anyone has forgotten:
Poll: Clinton’s approval rating up in wake of impeachment
December 20, 1998

(AllPolitics, December 20) — In the wake of the House of Representatives’ approval of two articles of impeachment, Bill Clinton’s approval rating has jumped 10 points to 73 percent, the latest CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll shows.

That’s not only an all-time high for Clinton, it also beats the highest approval rating President Ronald Reagan ever had.

At the same time, the number of Americans with an unfavorable view of the Republican Party has jumped 10 points; less than a third of the country now has a favorable view of the GOP.

Agree.

If over nothing else, impeach him for the use of various federal agencies to SILENCE POLITICAL OPPOSITION.

Our system unfortunately runs on precedent. If, as it appears to be, El Presidente can get away with illegally directing government agencies to intimidate and silence his enemies . . . it is truly all over.

Be careful what you wish for. Crazy Joe is waiting in the wings.

Just send Joe into a round room and tell him to pee in the corner. That will keep him busy until the term is up.

Couldn't possibly hurt the Republic anymore than it has been.

It would also bring all of the evidence of his corruption to the fore even if, like clinton's impeachment, the Rinos don't do their job.

It’s the second time the President of the United States has interjected himself into a confrontation between those in authority on legal grounds reasonably questioned and released someone involved in a curious activity in a patrolled area. Could this attitude be based from the idealized communist concept that there is no such thing as “private” property because the state (collective) owns the land ? .

In both cases those representing “authority” were reported as “white” . In the second case the person working security was attacked while on private rights of way while on foot discontinued an observation and was returing to his vehicle after being instructed by the police to do so. Legally he could have approached Saint Trayvon but didn’t. He was allowed to continue on his way.unimpeded. But didn’t. Trayvon doubled back and attacked the “neighborhood watch” worker as he was returing to his vehicle. Knocked him to the ground and began beating him severly. Saint Trayvon the attacker was subsequently killed in a struggle over the Neighborhood Watchman’s legal pistol.

In the second case both were dark skined.

Since the Zimmernan not guilty verdict has been rendered, the facts of this case are still being shamefully being concealed by the media to the extent they are advancing and are complicit in permitting a putrid injstice to be committed of the worst order, organized and instituted by our governent. While denied. It began as a miscalculation when a surname of a Jewish origin shot up and lighted the heavens like a star shell in the darkest of nights. It would have been difused if the media used pictures of both side by side because they look like cousins. And the area where this occured of paycheck to paycheck struggling homeowners of all races trying to protect themselves had been reported and not some ritzy all white enclave.they portrayed..Worse yet the media is still pilling it on with ABC editing a a black jury members (remember when they were all white)t remarks to make it sound like she accused Zimmerman of murder .

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3048225/posts http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3048631/posts

The result as we have seen is that another marxist axiom (division) has been implemented which has resulted with gangs of black youths murdering happless whites who happen into areas usually where a black population is the majority. Those media outlets who by their delberate misuse of the instrument of the 1st amendment are just as complicit in those deaths as the regime is. They have the duty but not the obligation to report factualy

Instead the party that hypenated itself from God at their 2012 convention into demo-coms, and believe that all groups should be hyphenated , Afro-American, Hispanic-American, etc..Decided Zimmerman to be the egg that is to be broken,. sacrificed, so that we have an omlet..Just like Stalin did to the Ukrainian land owners known as Kulacks whom he executed, (and used that egg example) in a soclal engineering plan to organize collectives during a Russian drought..Because as we have learned there seems to be the intention to use a collective data base to create collectives.where a utopia of uniforimity of conformity exists. As was done in Detroit, and Oakland California.only this time a poor whitey or blacky won’t be able to move,.

Just as with the energy plan where the cost of fuel used for energy and transportation and that includes raising the price of transporting gas and oil by rail, that favors a key contributer while the regime has been recently ridiculing the impact the completion of a pipeline, has skyrocketed those costs. Placing many on fixed or limited incomes dependent on government handouts. Resulting from this regimes socialist policies which go blameless. Now call for the sacrifice of Zimmerman who must die for another communist plan.. We all move together in centers designed and approved by comrades running the collective who (just like Obamacare aren’t in it) won’t ever live there.

What should the Rebuttal and counter charge be ?

What better way to cover up Bengahzi, Fast and furious, IRS, Wind and Solar panel gate, NSA spying on US, Over-riding the constittution? Don’t look into who accompaines Obama on his many trips around the world at taxpayer expence ? Were they the heavy hitters or their friends holding the president’s hand ? Never looked into either by the House and certainly not even speculated about or reported on by the media. Seems like that could be considered pay back at US taxpayer expence. Isn’t that an impeachable offense ?

Now if somebody even suggests impeachment.. Pick on some security guard accuse him of being racist ,even though he is part black, but his last name sounds “jewish”. Who’s doing surveilance in an mixed race area of modest means a where there’s been robberies and burgalries by young blacks. Now call that surveilance stalking, the area he’s patrolling owned by rich whities, and the guard of course white . Make that person he’s watching a 10 year old black kid and a saint ,not six foot two 165 pound 16 year old, who gets killed fighting over a gun. . Now put a target on the security guards back . Ain’t that neat ? What better way to discourage any investigation into malfeasance and corruption by organizing the base for riots in the streets.

Members of the so called opposition in both the Senate and the House have yet to speak out against the media and and the regime on the Zimmerman matter. Until they do pay no attention this talk of “impeachment” they’re just “breaking wind”.

As I’ve been saying, the only way Obama will be impeached is if the Democrats are the ones calling for it.

Unless he's caught slaughtering babies on the White House lawn this is going no where, a non issue. Unfortunately, it's stupid to even bring it up at this point.

When did it become the job of the House to worry whether the Senate will do it's job, and thus (the House) should not act upon known information and move forward with doing the right thing?

You would show that there are a few Americans left with bal$s to fight for what’s right. Let the Senate worry about what they will do after... you do your part.

We will survive it because America is in our blood. So don’t you worry about that,..just do your d@m job.

It's building, just ask the rodeo clown, but the Impeachment curve lags the Outrage curve.

So much obamatruth is waiting to be discovered that will make the Outrage curve go "Hockey stick" and globally warm us up to well beyond the "Impeach the B_s-tard!" threshold.

Benghazi alone should be more than enough to clean house.

The process of impeachment is basically defunct. There has to be some other solution and they might want to simply cut off funding for the white house and for white house operations altogether. The United States is not going to survive three more years of this shit, it’s not like anybody has a whole lot of anything to lose.

“Yet, they voted unanimously to acquit. Democrats are Democrats...and they will never vote to remove a Democrat President.”

As a result we got a Republican president and control of both houses of Congress. It was only after the Dems pulled their housing fiasco that tanked the economy, that the Dems won.

True. But to what end?

Upon reflection, the Bush administration was a hugely wasted opportunity. And the GOP Congress was a massive and corrupt disappointment.

There is a contention that the Republicans are incapable of governing...and, perhaps, it's so.

Then line up ten impeachable offenses, and then keep bringing up a new one each month and impeach the man ten times.

At the very least he will be so busy fighting that, and defending against it, and keeping the Senate buys with it that they will not be able to harm America as much as they otherwise would.

I say impeach the man each month for the next year or more...and see how he likes them apples.

But we need representatives with the spine and the will to do it...and stick with it amidst all of the counter fire they will receive.

"If over nothing else, impeach him for the use of various federal agencies to SILENCE POLITICAL OPPOSITION."

That's known as malfeasance. Since nearly every Congress Critter, of both houses, practices the fine art (of malfeasance), The Kenyan Pretender will never be indicted, much less convicted. So, the purpose of an impeachment is simply to get all of Congress on the record.

Simple law of life . . . when criminals take over, they will operate a criminal rule.

Translated : they want to keep the status quo and keep in place their nefarious plans to bring America down.
All impeachment will do is upset what they have set in place.
Actually ? impeachment will some good for a change because it will cause many in Congress to draw a line and uncover some with their mask on.
America ? the patient ? is at the point where ? do you operate to remove the cancer ? or is it to late to remove the cancer because the cancer has spread ?
