GOP congressman: Probably have enough votes in House to impeach Obama
The Daily Caller ^ | Vince Coglianese

Rep. Blake Farenthold, a Texas Republican, told constituents at a townhall over the weekend that the House of Representatives would “probably” have enough votes to impeach President Obama.

Farenthold was in Luling, Texas on Saturday, and after stepping past a question about the president’s birth certificate, suggested that the House would have the votes to impeach the president, but the Democratic Senate would kill the effort.

“A question I get a lot — ‘If everybody’s so unhappy with what the president’s doing, why don’t you impeach him?’” Farenthold said.

“I’ll give you a real frank answer about that. If we were to impeach the president tomorrow, you could probably get the votes in the House of Representatives to do it, but it would go to the Senate and he wouldn’t be convicted.”

That’s something, but how disposed would the Senate be towards a conviction?

We couldn’t convict Bubba when we had a Senate majority.

So impeach the jackass anyway and let the blame fall on the Senate for not convicting him!

A crime is a crime is a crime!

Are you saying that The Tao of Republican Orthodoxy goes that far back?

Another congressman who thinks the base are idiots.

Instead of actually fighting only a little empty impeachment talk is all us ignorant hicks need to go vote for them again in 2014.

Pull an Eric the Corrupt and impeach him every week. Force the Senate to vote every time not to convict. Make the jerk hire lawyers and force the Progressives to defend him every week.

And a conviction would make Joe Biden President, so forget it. We’d just be trading one idiot for another.

But Biden would have some comedy value.

If that is true, then why do the Republicans cave on nearly every issue and are running full speed ahead to destroy the USA right along with obama?
(Oh and there is no will to do such a thing)

Didn’t slow down Billy Jeff for a minute - what makes anyone think the Current Occupant of the White Hut would not play for sympathy against “them nasty old Republicans” with the low-information voters (of which there seems to be no shortage of at all)?

Our real enemy is Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold and Joyless. Her assignment, should she accept, is to extend and expand all the initiatives that the Current Regime has set up and declared as “inviolate and sacred”.

Let’s make it a two-fer then. Include Holder in criminal proceedings just to make a trifecta and Bonehead gets to be prez.

Why does O break the law with impunity? because Harry Reid would never Impeach. Why isn’t O in federal prison? Because the AG is his Consigliere.

Congress hates August. The beltline press thinks this is a vacation for them, but Representatives and Senators know better. They now have to answer to their constituents.

Good luck with that.

I think it would be a lot easier to count which 1 or 2 senate republicans who would vote to impeach depending on the charges.

Impeach this rat by the House would be an indication what will happen if we get the Senate. Americans might wake up!

So Congressman, you refuse to do your job unless and until you are certain there are at least 66 Senators who will agree to do their jobs?

Keep in mind that during the formative years, age seven to ten, while our school children were reciting the Pledge of Allegiance every morning, Barack Hussein Obama was in Indonesia responding to the Islamic call to prayer.

Patriotism was not instilled in his heart as a child like our children, but instead he was instructed on devotion only to Allah. This could explain why he doesn’t seem to have any loyalty to this country or our Constitution.
