GOP congressman: Probably have enough votes in House to impeach Obama
The Daily Caller ^ | Vince Coglianese

Posted on 08/12/2013 1:59:30 PM PDT by Jonah Vark

Rep. Blake Farenthold, a Texas Republican, told constituents at a townhall over the weekend that the House of Representatives would “probably” have enough votes to impeach President Obama.

Farenthold was in Luling, Texas on Saturday, and after stepping past a question about the president’s birth certificate, suggested that the House would have the votes to impeach the president, but the Democratic Senate would kill the effort.

“A question I get a lot — ‘If everybody’s so unhappy with what the president’s doing, why don’t you impeach him?’” Farenthold said.

“I’ll give you a real frank answer about that. If we were to impeach the president tomorrow, you could probably get the votes in the House of Representatives to do it, but it would go to the Senate and he wouldn’t be convicted.”

BO is NOT an idiot. By design, he is here to bring down the USA, which he has been/is doing. On the other hand, Biden IS an idiot!!

Well, then test them, you bloviating, spineless enabler.

The way things happen in this world is you make people take positions, you don't just decline to do something because it is not likely to go anywhere.

Sheesh!

"This could explain why he doesn’t seem to have any loyalty to this country or our Constitution."

As far as that goes, I can't name even one Democrat who seems to have any loyalty to this country or our Constitution.

The media and the democrats (excuse the redundancy) will immediately cast it as impeaching him for being Black.

And a conviction would make Joe Biden President, so forget it. We’d just be trading one idiot for another.

I'll take the American idiot.

And now you know why Obama chose Biden for his running mate.

Nixon kept Agnew for the same reason. That’s why Agnew had to be removed first.

That’s what my question was based on, in part. The Senate GOP contingent of today is even more RINO than back then.

We stand a much better (still slim) chance of impeaching him over using the IRS, FEC, and other agencies to target political enemies.

THEN DO IT

the house worries about the house.
let the senate worry about the senate

let them justify why they’re protecting his treasonous a** ... especially when the benghazi info comes out

(want a US missile? work for AQAP? here ya go!!)

They may have the votes, but they don’t have the backbone.

IMPEACHMENT

is a fancy way of saying

PERFORMANCE REVIEW

it’s up to the senate to actually FIRE him.

that’s all it means. to ‘impeach’ a president means you fire him.

obama will never be blamed for anything. That’s why he’s hardly ever in the white house.

Oooooooops!
What I should have said -

Keep in mind that during the formative years, age seven to ten, while our school children were reciting the Pledge of Allegiance every morning, BARRY SOETORO was in Indonesia responding to the Islamic call to prayer.

Patriotism was not instilled in his heart as a child like our children, but instead he was instructed on devotion only to Allah. This could explain why he doesn’t seem to have any loyalty to this country or our Constitution.

If they impeached they could get discovery and then the whole world could see the criminal enterprise that is in control.

That’s why they won’t impeach. Nobody wants to open that can of worms because the whole government would be exposed as a great big scam.

It’s what we need, though. As long as they are willing to cover each other’s behinds we’ll never get anything but corruption and crime out of this system. As someone once said, “The Taliban is in the building...”

So impeach the jackass anyway and let the blame fall on the Senate for not convicting him!

Exactly.

Do your job and let the senate do whatever they do.

Too much political strategizing is the problem.

Didn’t slow down Billy Jeff for a minute

Right.

They voted to impeach BJ and 2 high level Republicans lost their jobs -- Speaker Gingrich and his replacement Speaker Livingston.

Ironically, all 3 had zipper problems.
