President Obama is quietly moving forward with gun control regulations.
A Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives(ATF) Final Rule published Tuesday in the Federal Register and a news release issued last Friday by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHS) are recent developments ignored by the mainstream media even though Vice President Joe Biden announced last week that the administration would be using executive orders to advance gun control goals following a Senate battle that could not muster the votes to do so legislatively.
President Obama has side-stepped Congress by implementing portions of the UN Small Arms Trade Treaty through an executive order which can be used to ban the import of all firearms, ammunition and related supplies and accessories.
While patriots across the nation rejoiced when the US congress rejected flat on its face an attempt to force the United States into the UN Small Arms Treaty just weeks later a more sinister ulterior motive has been revealed.
Today, President Obama by passed congress and signed an executive which gives the federal government a power to completely ban the importation of guns, ammunition and even parts and accessories related to firearms.
While the UN Small Arms Treaty would have prevented the United States from both importing and exporting weapons, Obama has effectively signed on to the treaty with his new executive order while allowing the United States to export weapons of deaths to covertly funded clandestine operations in overseas nations where it seeks to further its imperialistic agenda.

He’s a f*cking TRAITOR!!!!
Correction. I’d forgotten that the new SoS is lurch. Same point, though. Neither lurch nor eric holder are friends of the RKBA.
The GOP has the votes to impeach, but they tucked tail and don’t want to rock the boat.
In my eyes, the GOP is helping Obama and are equally guilty
What about the GOP? Has the GOP said anything?
I am starting to liken our Government to the days of Sodom and Gomorrah. If there was a modern day Lot the Lord would say He would save the Republic if He could find just 10 good men.
The Military wont stop it and the people can't stop it unless they stand up and I have lost faith in the people to do so.
“....Today, President ‘Obama by-passed congress’.... signed an executive which gives ‘the federal government power’ to completely ban the importation of guns, ammunition and even parts and accessories related to firearms....”
Disarmament of the citizens of the United States of America continues.....as we walk ‘silently’ into the darkness of his rule....no resistance whatsoever from congress....which indicates they are supporting this.
When Boehner & co are kicked out of congress. With Vichy Repubs controlling congress, Obama will do what he wants.
The Executive Order in question is about Export controls, contrary to the article for this thread claiming import controls.
Do Executive Orders Violate the Constitution?
Presidents can issue executive orders that are legally binding on the general public.
These executive orders are backed by the full force of law just like laws passed through the formal legislative process.
A president can use executive orders to go around congress.
The president can use executive orders to modify laws passed by congress and can order executive departments to selectively enforce provisions of laws.
These executive orders are authorized by the Constitution.
Yes the president can issue executive orders however these orders are only binding on members of the executive department of the federal government. They are not legally binding on anyone outside the executive department.
Only laws passed through the formal legislative process have full force of law. Executive orders do not meet this requirement.
Congress alone has the power to write and pass laws. If congress chooses not to pass laws that the president advocates for the president can in no way act unilaterally. The president is restrained by the Constitution.
The president must enforce laws that are passed by the formal legislative process as they are written. If the president does not like a bill passed by congress or feels it violates the Constitution then the president can veto it before it becomes law.
Issuing executives orders that are given the full force of law is a clear violation of several provisions of the Constitution.
I wonder how many are going to get it.
“prevented the United States from both importing and exporting weapons”
Exception for for shoulder fired surface to air missiles...?
As soon as the Press becomes "Conservative."
Of course. If one wants water at point B from point A....one must first build the infrastructure before opening the flood gates.
I get the sense that this is what is being done with this regulation. But then, I trust no one.
When did Congress ratify this treaty? Or do they just not care as long as they get their pay and perks? The French got one thing right with that revolution of theirs. they removed a lot of over head.
It was Bush 41 that stuck us with the Arms Export Control Act. It was that act that made it virtually impossible for us to re-import WW II lend lease small arms and it’s been screwed up ever since. Throw that in with the import limitations of the 1968 GCA and Obamuzzie has all the authority he needs to ban export/import of most anything small arms related. Those are the basic reasons that numerous Euro arms makers have opened mills here——so they can get access to our market. So far they were able to make most of the parts in their old Euro plants then just finish them here. This new Obammuzzie deal looks like it can stop even the small parts imports.
I guess you can say that if trade is totally stopped then it has indeed been “streamlined”——no delays, no lines, no waiting——no nothing!
You’re right except it wasn’t executive order——it was the Arms Import/Export Control Act (sp). Bush 41 started the big double cross with respect to firearms. I believed at the time that he had no freeekin idea what he was signing.
