Colt 1911 is hard to beat. Military tested and approved. Some have fired over 200,000 rounds without failure.

You mean CWP or CCP, not FFL don’t you? You won’t be getting an FFL unless you’re opening a legit gun store.

Presonally, I like 1911’s. If you are looking for a good bargain but excellent quality, I reccomend the Springfield Armory Range Officer.

What are you going to use it for? There are a bunch of .45’s on the market and it depends on what its use will be.

I like a 1911,but the Baretta PX4 is a superior weapon.The S&W MP 45 is also excellent,

You need to do a lot more serious research.

Having said that, I would strongly recommend a Glock 30S.

I have been happy with 1911s. If you’re buying online, BudsGunShop is the best source I’ve found. Beyond that, it depends on how much you want to pay and what you want to do with them. Dan Wesson is very high quality and available; Colt is almost but not quite as good and less expensive. You’ll get a lot of other ideas here, and there are many good manufacturers, especially for the 1911 because it’s so hard to make a bad 1911.

I’m guessing a Type 3 FFL: Licensed collector of Curio & Relic (C&R) firearms. Just a wild guess.

I own 3 and love them all, though they all serve a different purpose. My Glock 21 is my "house gun." People have different issues with Glocks, love or hate, but this gun is an easy to aim solid shooter, simple to operate/strip, and carries 13+1.

I have a full sized Springfield 1911A1 for target shooting. Very nice performer in a proven, classic design. Shoots very tight groups at 25 yards with and without a rest.

For concealed carry, I have a Kimber Ultracarry II with Crimson Trace grip. Hopefully, it'll never be used for its intended purposes. In case it is, I wanted something compact, reliable, and powerful.

I have signed the paperwork, been Fingerprinted and got a Picture and sent in the money, why can’t I become an “FFL”?
