ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (AP) — A central Kentucky theater owner who trained pilots during the Vietnam War is refusing to show the nation's top movie, "The Butler" because one of the stars is Jane Fonda who was an outspoken opponent of the conflict.

Yeah, but if theaters start boycotting films because they star American enemies, pretty soon they won’t be showing ANYTHING at all.
(And I have no problem with that.)
Went to the movies with another couple that wanted to see “The Butler”. They are liberal.
We went with them, but saw “The Way Way Back” and excellent movie BTW. I do not want to see Hollywood establishment treatment on any political subject matter. This decision was made BEFORE I knew Hanoi Jane was in the movie.

You can call me prejudiced if you wish, but I refuse to go see this movie, and will never watch it. Ever. I can smell an agenda, and this movie’s agenda stinks through 20 feet of reinforced concrete.

I wouldnt see The Butler for free..the creator Lee Daniels is a racist slime ball, Jane Fonda is a commie douche bag, and I can’t stand the sight of Oprah Winfrey..so there’s the 3 strikes and your out rule
It's not that she was a "critic of the conflict", it's that she was a treasonous communist who gave comfort to the Vietcong and encouraged them to torture decent Americans who would not pretend to be convinced by her anti-American speeches in Viet Nam. There's is an important difference.
Natural they are liberals. There threads here on FR about Hanoi Jane playing Nancy Reagan, but if I had not seen the photo on the Yahoo site I would not have known about the former First Lady and the ***** playing her

A Vietnam Vet some time ago waited in line for a jane fonda book signing and DID spit on her!ha!
BTW..read a review on this movie..it completely changes the true story of this butler to rile the racial hate up again!

I agree. Please folks, teach ALL young folks about these traitors. I told my children years and years ago about Jane Fonda, how she was a great actress, but then did those horrid things, have shown them photos on internet of her, told of how she was handed, BY OUR soldiers while she visited them in their POW prisons, their SS#’s so she could report them to Washington, instead how she handed them TO the Vietcong immediately and those poor souls were tortured merciless because of her actions. Some died, some survived.
I too would not cross the street to spit on her. She will get hers one day.
the only poetic justice re Jane Fonda is that she is getting older and uglier!
