They’re after “head-count employment.” What all the recent chatter has been about the coming “Tapering” dependent upon “employment” from the Fed. meetings.

It's the law - it applies....won't stop them from sending a SWAT team to erase you for non-payment though.

Nothing about Obamacare was well thought out. It was cobbled together and jammed through. Remember “you have to pass the bill in order to find out whats in it”
There is no other enforcement mechanism except witholding the fine/tax from your tax refund. They cannot put a lien on your house, they cannot garnish your wages or your bank account or sieze any of your property. Nada. So most people especially young people who don’t really need comprehensive health care are going to thumb their nose at the IRS and there is nothing they can do about it except send you a letter.
There’s two factors you have to determine the balance between. One is the human tendency to find a way around any exaction, the other is human inertia. Whether a plan to jump back and forth into the system will have a significant impact will depend on the balance between the two factors. If it’s easy, it’ll be popular, if it takes effort, it won’t be. The more complicated your evasion plan, the less it’ll be used.
I will pay the bill or if it’s too big refuse treatment. I do not believe that I have the right to steal from my fellow citizens just to extend my life. There is no escape from death it can only be delayed and only should be delayed if you can pay for it, or if someone voluntarily chooses to pay for it.

Even those who do confess that they do not have insurance may not be liable for the new tax.What happens most of the time is very simple: If you refuse to pay your taxes, then the government takes your stuff. The government can take all the assets you currently have and assets you expect to receive in the future. For example, the money you have in your checking and savings accounts, your car, your boat, your retirement account, any rental income, and wages that have not been paid to you can be taken by the IRS in order to collect the money you owe. The IRS’s power is so strong that it holds third parties liable if they choose not to surrender property that the IRS demands. So your bank has to comply with the IRS.
Not so if the tax you refuse to pay is the ObamaCare tax. Under ObamaCare, the IRS cannot seize any of your property to enforce the mandate penalty. The IRS cannot go after the money in your bank accounts, and it can’t sell your car. It can’t send you to jail, and it can’t touch your stuff.”
