Kucinich: Striking Syria Will Make U.S. Military ‘Al-Qaeda’s Air Force’
national review ^ | August 27, 2013 | Sterling Beard

Posted on 08/27/2013 4:08:39 PM PDT by opentalk

... “So what, we’re about to become al-Qaeda’s air force now?” Kucinich sarcastically asked The Hill.

He went on to warn against attempting to “minimize” an intervention by terming it a “targeted strike.” Such a strike, he said, would still constitute an act of war.

Kucinich also blasted the Obama administration for “rushing” into what he said could become a third world war, and he cast doubt on reports by rebels of governmental forces using chemical weapons. He declared that the use of chemical weapons in Syria was a “pretext.”

“The verdict is in before the facts have been gathered,” Kucinich said. “What does that tell you?”

I find myself agreeing with Kucinich and Gingrich in the same day. Well, when they're right, I'm not going to say they're wrong.

re: Kucinch’s district. They didn’t include hardly any of the west side of Cleveland suburbs that supported him.

Who was in charge of the redistricting?
Don’t Republicans hold big majorities in both the state House and Senate?

There are very few Liberals out there who are honest and have integrity. Kucinich is one of them. He sticks to his guns no matter who is leading the way.

One thing about Dennis, he is consistent. In this case he is also correct! Like MOST situations the best move for the government is generally NO MOVE. Stay out of it. We have two sets of bad guys killing each other. Let’s see who wins and then we only have one set of crazies to kill!

The Republicans were in charge of redistricting. What they did here is appalling and dumb. A lot of these Kucinich suburbs they gerrymandered away from him are wasted by being folded into the black district, to connect the minorities in Cleveland and Akron.

These are conservative towns. Kucinich is popular here, but they'd easily go for a conservative candidate. It looked like a deal to save a black district....just guessing.

Kucinich is a marxist, period. He only advocates things that advance the socialist/marxist agenda. Wars of liberation don’t advance marxism, only freedom (re Iraq - as Benjamin Franklin said, “We have given you freedom if you can keep it”. The Iraqis aren’t doing their part of the job.

Read Trevor Loudon’s new book (and its predecessor one) “The Enemies Within”. A lot on Kucinich’s marxist background and activities.

He has a nice smile, a trophy wife, and a Fox guest talking head gig, but he is still a hardcore leftist. Ocassionally he gets something right, like a broken clock does twice a day.

But as the old joke goes, “Lying in bed on Sunday yelling “Oh god, oh god” is not the same as going to church”.

Kucinich has made his marxist bed and continues to lie in it. And I have it on good advise that he is NOT going to join the Libertarian Party! And that’s a fact, Jack!

I owe Dennis some gratitude.
I got the heck out when he took Cleveland into default and never looked back.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news Denis but we are already in the middle of World War III.

We have been since the Carter administration (at least).

Wahabbi Muslims have been waging war on 5 continents for at least 20 years. To me at least that constitutes a World War.

Don’t get me wrong I am not in favor of getting involved in Syria’s civil war. I say let them kill each other to their heart’s content and live in chaos for a few generations; perhaps they will have less inclination to sponsor terrorism if they are too busy killing their own.

However we should recognize that we are at war whether we like it or not; it is not a war of choice. The Islamist will attack us regardless of how we treat their home countries. They attack us because we are powerful and we are not Muslim. That combination of attributes offends their religious sensibilities. In their vision of cosmic justice only Muslim nations should be powerful. Non-Muslim countries by definition must be vassals of Muslim countries.

We will be at war with the Islamic fundamentalist until we totally destroy them or we are subjugated by them; there are no other choices. I personally prefer the former.

But in this particular case when your enemy is defeating himself stand aside at let him finish his work.

90% of the new district was in Marxist Marcy’s old district. It consists of MOST of East Toledo and a narrow band of the Lake Erie shore that runs abut the width of a street all the way to the West side of Cleveland. It is about 1/2 mile wide and 100 miles long.

Dennis came out very strongly against the IRS targeting Tea Party groups as well, so I can live with 2 times a day as long as he actively working to undo the good deed with massive havoc in other arenas.

It wasn’t a deal, it is the law. Blacks MUST have protected districts. Part of the law. Only Conservative blacks are elected by white people. All the Liberal whites are racists!
