Remember when digital watches came out? They were all the nerd rage. Then calculator watches? You could identify a nerd by his calculator watch and pocket protector. (nothing against pocket protectors, I wore one for 35+ years while working, heh).

Samsung's device is expected to be an accompaniment to a smartphone, rather than a standalone device with its own sim card. IMHO that's what makes this device uninteresting.

IMHO that's what makes this device uninteresting. Yeah. Maybe they're trying to lower expectations. If it had smartphone functionality, it would be more convenient than having a smartphone in your pocket.
