Kerry has already said that Arab money is available for the USA if we take out Assad.
What if OPEC is threatening to abandon the US dollar for the oil markets? Once they pull this card out of the house of cards, the gig is up. Imagine the US dollar no longer the dominant world currency.

Then we get our idiots in congress to build the dam pipeline and go with domestic oil and the Saudis gig is up.

The only way to stop him if congress votes him down is for the military brass to tell him, in private so he can save face, that they will not obey an illegal order. I won’t hold my breath.

Jim, one thing I am thinking about is if the new allegations that either the US or Israel or both in perhaps even consultations with say the Saudis, literally modified the original communications with the Syrian military regarding the August 21st release of CW upon the Syrian population, within the Capital's perimeter, THAT, this becomes how should I say ballistic within both Houses of Congress.
That this whole episode will quickly come to an end and both sides of the Congress will turn to more important things like strongly considering impeachment of the Kenyan.
It's a sad day in Hell when this Freeper starts to actually believe what the Russians have been elucidating about on this issue, as having some merit.
Please do not feel obligated to respond. I'm just voicing some things I believe may have some merit to consider.

Screw the Arabs.
It was our technology that brought them oil and without our purchase and refining capabilities they’d be back shaking their cups for coins. There is no reason to be held hostage by people barely a step above Neanderthals.

After listening to views from various people about current events that actually live or work in Syria, reading lots of news articles, and reviewing facts and aspects of the Syrian Saga including the Benghazi Betrayal I feel that there is a good posibility that Assad might have been setup so that he could be ousted because he would not allow natural gas companies in Qatar to lay pipes across Syria. Add to that, that natural gas is believed, by many in the industry, to be the next big thing and that Qatar paid 3 billion to the Syrian rebels that Chris Stevens was reportedly supplying arms to for the CIA AND the fact that ths very Seal Team 6 members that took Osama bin Laden were killed during the Benghazi debacle and it makes you wonder. It certainly makes scratch my head and I’m a skeptic by nature. I guess its not paranoia if it’s real...

Keep the pressure on. Make the calls. Send the emails.
These clowns are bound and determined to start a war with their “limited action”, which will spiral out of control like the beginning of WWI 99 years ago.
Not bombing Syria will save more lives than if we do bomb them.
Seriously.

Jim,
A bad situation: best outcome — Pres. Dystopia folds and goes home from the card game.
Likely outcome: Congress votes down the attack, and the Muslim Brother launches his army to attack Syria.
Response: Russia attacks American warships and planes in the region; Israel receives a rainstorm of Syrian Hezbullah and Iranian missiles.
A vote in Congress will not influence the dictator. Russia will enact economic sanctions against America, probably including a naval blockade of oil tankers seeking passage through the Hormuz.
To: Jim Robinson
The calls to congress are coming in overwhelmingly against the Syrian strike/war.

No war for ego.
This needs to be voted down. Force Obama to do this on his own, then arrest, impeach, convict and incarcerate his sorry a$$. Yes, I know it’s just another one of my wild fantasies.

They'll vote AFTER the propaganda war escalates, the MSM and Hollywood bedazzle the masses, and the NSA intercepts of each and every Republican Congresscritter are ready to be faxed to CNN. And after Obama finishes bribing them. "You want that federal grant for your district, Congressman? All it would take is a simple 'yes' vote on the Syria resolution."

If congress votes it down, and the Muslim brother launches the attack on Syria without consent, there will be a good chance of a coup if the situation leads to a wider war. There may come a time where a coup would be the only way to prevent a total takeover and martial crackdown by our evil dictator.
