Map: All The Countries John McCain Has Wanted to Attack
Mother Jones ^ | September 5, 2013 | Tim Murphy

Posted on 09/06/2013 4:46:26 AM PDT by hcmama

Even before he was caught playing poker on his iPhone at a Senate hearing on Wednesday, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) had already sent a message: Anything less than an extensive aerial assault on the Syrian regime by American forces would be an unacceptable approach to the conflict in the Middle East. This was hardly surprising. Over the last two decades, McCain has rarely missed an opportunity to call for the escalation of an international conflict. Since the mid-1990s, he's pushed for regime change in more than a half a dozen countries—occasionally with disastrous consequences.

Yeah, I know it's Mother Jones; but the facts speak for themselves: There is literally no corner of the globe where McCain has not wanted to militarily intervene. Something is seriously wrong with the man.

Yeah, the source is suspect, but I could find no fault with this article. It was actually stunning to see all McCain’s foreign policy madness represented by a target map.

Under the headline for the graph depicting 'where is John McCain's rage', they state he called for military 'invention'. LOL

Liberals are soooooooo intellectual.

The British invaded 170 countries over the centuries of the British Empire, McCain is obviously a competitive guy trying to break the record.

No fault with this article?

Support for the missile defense system equals wanting to attack Russia?

A vague statement about Arab spring is coming to China equals wanting to attack China?

It’s Mother Jones, Jake....forget about it.

Agree.
I can’t say my sentiments differ a whole lot from many of McCain’s.

That nutcase was the standard bearer for the 2008 GOP.

He was WW III waiting to happen. But, even now, he is still pushing for it.

It causes many of us to wonder how much better or worse off the nation would be if McCain had won the presidency.

It causes many of us to wonder which was really the lesser of two evils in 2008.

==

Part of the irony is that his little buddy is pushing just as hard as McCain is. Graham is the first in line behind McCain to beat the drums.

That is the same Senator Graham who got his panties in a wad over photos of US/Coalition contractors’ pranks at Abu Ghraib.

For fun I gave Mother Jones gift subscriptions for Christmas!
I had more calls about being on a government watch list and this was over the top... fun!

And cheap too! IIRC $6! Cost that to send a nice card!

My guess is that MJ lost money on each one.

"Mr. Straight Talk Express," aka "The Maverick," alias "Media-certified Great American War Hero" and general beltway "Prominent Repubican and/or Conservative" is a seriously bad character whose credibility ought to be swirling down any sentient person's toilet. The news yesterday about his relying on the Syrian-rebel sponsored chippie for intel was not so much surprising as redundantly infuriating.

What also bothers me after seeing this is knowing that Mother Jones is showing this now, when outlets I (used to) deem as actually responsible should have done the same thing, but much earlier.

The shocking thing is how rare an article from the Left is that actually bothers to accumulate any verifiable facts.
