Obama demands Congress clarifiy U.S. military intervention in Syria and beyond
Washington Post ^ | 9/6/2013 | By Scott Wilson

There was a moment Friday when the leader of the free world explained the awe and sympathy his job provokes among colleagues.

At the end of a Group of 20 summit in Russia, President Obama recounted a recent conversation he had had with another head of state, as the question of whether the United States would soon attack Syria loomed over the gathering.

“I’m a small country, and nobody expects me to do anything about chemical weapons around the world,” Obama quoted his fellow leader as saying. “They know I have no capacity to do something, and it’s tough because people do look to the United States.”

Then, shifting to his own voice, Obama said: “And the question for the American people is, ‘Is that a responsibility that we’re willing to bear?’ ”

At the heart of Obama’s parable about the burdens of power is the reason why a second-term president has suddenly turned to an unpredictable, unruly and often-hostile Congress for a decision on war.

He wants an answer to his question: What, after nearly a dozen years of war, is the country willing to bear? Obama appears willing, so far, to risk a severe setback to his presidential prestige to get an answer, even if it turns out to be — as seems quite possible — that the country will not support even a limited military intervention in Syria’s civil war.

He surely made that up. Sounds like the tug-at-heartstrings BS that the pols spew to score emotional points. “And then there was Aquanetta - single mother, factory worker on the graveyard shift - struggling to pay the bills on time and wondering what I was going to do to ensure that her young son would have health care, a roof over his head and an Obamaphone...”

Obama can take his “demands” and stuff them where the sun doesn’t shine.

Now to be honest, at this point, I don’t care what the issue is, I will NEVER support Obama or his merry band of queers/democrats.

Anyone believe this? Anyone at all? This lying sack of bovine excrement just loves to trot out variations of this "people tell me confidentially" schtick, but it's a lie, you know it's a lie, he knows it's a lie, but it's the kind of lie that nobody an ever disprove so nobody calls him on it.

This seriously frosts my shorts. Someone, somewhere needs to tell that puked-faced, weasel tongued lame excuse for a pseudo human being that he needs new material.

If I remember correctly, Obama said North Korea and Iran were small Countries and were no threat to the United States.

I don’t think he mentioned Syria though.

We should crack down *HARD* on the users of NBC.

Trouble is, that Obama has little to no credibility, re proof of *who actually is the user.*

Bush also lacked proof, but Bush was able to use more leverage of Bush’s own credibility, that at the time, ranked higher than Obama’s does now.

So Obama is stuck with *proving,* Who dunnit?

With *proof* that several countries agree is sufficient, then there may be the just cause.

Right now, there is mostly just tragedy, and we’d like to *not* have more tragedy piled on ... and later discovering that, “the weapons of mass destruction *w-e-r-e* here?”

Wasn't he some sort of Constitutional professor?

If so, then he should know his role as president without having to demand anything of Congress.

I have no trouble bearing the responsibility for not helping Al Qaeda kill Assad and then starting genocide against Christians.

Only a fellow Brotherhood Muslim would even worry about it.

100,000 have been killed
1,000 by gas, and we don’t know for sure where that gas came from.

I don’t believe anything Obama says, nor his hand picked intelligence, I believe even less what Kerry says. I watched as Hillary got 4 people killed and lied about it.
I still believe Obama got 20 SEALS killed in a deal for Bin Laden.
I actually have a hard time believing that McCain Graham and Boehner are all in to bomb the shit out of the country and don’t care what they bomb.

It wasn’t a real country, but a composite of small countries.

Oh so now Obama wants the Congress to set U.S. policy? What the Frack does this A**hat actually do but go on vacation, play golf, basketball and play with Reggie’s **lls? He doesn’t want to be responsible for anything or take the blame for his F***kups. Now he apparently wants to abdicate his responsibility to set policy to Congress. Why doesn’t he just resign and go on perpetual vacation, not only America but the whole world would be better off.
