Before leaving for home after the Group of 20 summit, President Barack Obama sat down with Russian civil society activists on Friday evening to assure them that he would keep pressing Moscow to respect human rights, some of the activists said. But Obama also explained to them why this wasn't always possible.
The meeting was held several hours after two dozen of gay activists rallied in St. Petersburg to protest Russia's new law banning gay propaganda, which prompted some activists to call for the boycott of the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi.
Igor Kochetkov, the head of LGBT Network, who took part in the protest and also attended the meeting with Obama, said the activists pushed him to be more outspoken in his criticism of the rights situation in Russia.

Well, Christianity’s not part of Putin’s set of reasons, but his set of reasons is leading him to do the right thing, nonetheless, so “Props” for that.
Ummmm... he seems to be pretty copacetic with the Russian Orthodox. Some of them actually have a decent gospel still.

If Obama gets AIDS from them we all will be footing the bill for his treatment.
Maybe the attempted influx of Sharia practitioners has finally brought him face-to-face with the need to make a stand somewhere solid. Time will tell.
I don’t think it was sharia that pushed him into this. I think he saw the courage the faith gave.

People WANT to be asleep. And that’s the truth. It’s EASIER to be asleep. The media has gotten everyone in such a state of hysteria over the slightest thing (Trayvon, Hurricanes, etc...) that when REAL reason for worry comes along, they shrug it off.

Gays have basically admitted they want to promote their behavior to children by opposing these laws.
Shouldn’t adults want children to have a childhood free from sexual propaganda and influence...
