Maybe this will force us to quit borrowing.
That’s the idea. Crash the government so that it can be rebuilt “the right way”.
China isn’t buying our debt anymore from what I have read while the Fed has picked up the slack.
With all that paper, maybe we’ll be able to buy missiles made out of cardboard.
The debt is already sold.
A balanced budget means no debt.
The debt holders are holding the bag. When repudiated, they lose.
In a sense, the other side, the Saudi and the Qataris, are also paying our bills. The Petrodollar is our main bulwark against a dollar collapse. That is probably why so many of our political leaders are taking orders from the Sunni Arabs.
I am oddly less worried about them calling in our debt. That is what will happen, because no one will buy it. When the debt can’t be sold to someone else...confiscation begins.
No, I don’t necessarily see China coming here to confiscate stuff, but I could very readily see them confiscating factories and exports to America. With everything we import from China...down to chicken, garlic, salt, and pepper...this could actually leave grocery store shelves bare for a season.
If China stops trade with us due to our inability pay our debt, what other countries will follow suit as well? So what happens when the imported food runs out?
Martial Law. Who will get food first...those with their already issued ration cards(EBT card). Don’t already have a government issued EBT card? Gee it will take 6 weeks to get one or maybe even a little longer. Not prepared to wait, here walk through this FEMA camp gate and they will help you.
The list of consequences to this Syria crisis seems almost too well orchestrated to break the backs of Americans or at least break the perceived backs of half the country.
The country is in much worse financial shape than Detroit. The only reason we don’t see it is because the feds can print money to hide reality.....for a while.
Detroit is bankrupt. The city has vast areas of no longer usable or livable structures. Detroit is a mass of shtinking decay.
America as a whole shows no such massive decay and destruction

The way you handle this is to put tariffs on Communist Chinese goods
We have already sent our wealth over to Commie China, and, have trillions in trade deficits with them....raising tariffs is the only option

What if BO declares war over Cogressional refusal and the military goes with Congress and refuses to fight? Could a military coup happen in America like it did in Egypt? Would this be the best possible outcome?

I don’t believe the AObama in the White House and his inner circle have a clue regarding the consequences of what they are doing any more than the Mayors of Detroit during the last fifty years did, or do.
AObama is so busy prancing and dancing with the American entertainers he thinks that make-believe they do, will do it for him.
there is a reason DHS and other agencies are buying all that ammo ....
