'Anti-racist is anti-white' sign removed from I-5 overpass

EUGENE, OR (KPTV) - A sign found hanging on an Interstate 5 overpass in Eugene sparked a debate about racism this week.

The banner, found handing on a pedestrian bridge over the freeway, says "Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white."

It wasn't immediately clear who put the sign there, but the regional NAACP president said the slogan is a sign of intolerance in our nation.

"If it was speaking against anything, it was speaking against multiculturalism and I think multiculturalism is a strength of our country," said Eric Richardson, of the NAACP.

The banner is now banned from the bridge, but not because of its controversial statement.

ODOT officials said the message may be distracting to drivers.

The transportation agency said safety is the top priority, and it often removes distracting messages from freeway overpasses.

Now I know I am not the sharpest bulb in the box nor the brightest knife in the drawer but;
“Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white”
just does not make sense to me.
And that poor guy from the NAACP in trying to make it anti Blackafricanmericanperzonofcolor just sounded even more stupid.

“...the regional NAACP president said the slogan is a sign of intolerance in our nation.”

Uhh, I don’t think he could have affirmed the substance of that slogan any harder if he actually tried.

If someone accuses of you of hiding behind the guise of civil rights in order to enrich yourself, garner political credit, or to “stick it to whitey”, it’d probably be smart to reply with something OTHER than “THAT’S RACIST!” or words to that effect.

I think multiculturalism is a strength of our country,” said Eric Richardson

You talk about STUPID, The very essence of multiculturalism is Diversity, which means nothing more or less than a DIVIDED POPULACE, which just happens to be the vehicle in which tyrannical governments conquer their citizens. DIVIDE AND CONQUER. Pit one group against another and so on.. Or is everybody else too stupid to see that or read a dictionary to see the truth in black and white.

"If it was speaking against anything, it was speaking against multiculturalism and I think multiculturalism is a strength of our country," said Eric Richardson, of the NAACP.

The NAACP has played a major role in stirring up animosity between the races. It is not surprising that one of their spokesmen would make that statement. (See Understanding Leftist Pursuit of "Diversity".)

Deliberately undermining ethnic culture, was used by Stalin to undermine social cohesion in the Ukraine & Baltic States by moving in millions of ethnic Russians, to make it much more difficult for communities to resist Soviet control over their daily lives. (The dysfunctional leftist may not understand this; but those who mean to terminate American "exceptionalism" certainly do.)

The NAACP is a racist organization.

Make that the next sign!

It doesn’t resonate because it doesn’t get at the crucial issue to most whites which is racism against them not by them.

“Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white”

A slogan used by people who have no intention of revealing their true intentions,

The sign-maker obviously disagrees. Why should your opinion be more weighty than his?

Multiculturalism has been a disaster for this country. It has reduced our quality of life in just about any area you can name. The "melting pot" is only worthwhile if it melts things together. Multiculturalism is just a way of keeping them separated.

This is happening in all Western nations and that is why RACISM! as a slur and a heresy was invented. White Christians that merely disagree with their dispossession and ethnic displacement in their own countries are branded RACIST! And we all know being a RACIST! is worse than being a child rapist/killer.

Who are the groups and men behind mass 3rd immigration and this RACISM! Inquisition?

Tupelo wrote: “Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white” just does not make sense to me.

The wording seems a little clunky, but I can see how someone might come up with the idea — given how the civil rights movement has turned into the “special rights for me and mine” movement, and given that the word “RACIST!” has become less of a genuine statement and more of a club with which to beat pale people over the head any time they get uppity.

I think that a lot of Americans are getting sick and tired of having honest, unbiased political discourse derailed by loud-mouthed liberals and money-grubbing race hustlers screaming “racism” at the top of their lungs. It’s really become farcical.

There are a hell of a lot of color-blind conservatives out there that are plain fed up with having their every reasonable political complaint dismissed as “Racism against President Obama”. What’s even more deranged, is such criticism of comes from racist liberals that disagree with the man’s policies and actions but most likely just voted for him only because he’s (half)African.

Then we have the media trying to invent the great white racist defendant in the Zimmerman case, trying desperately to paint a hispanic man that mentors at-risk black youths, and has black ancestors himself, as an evil white racist that stalked and murdered a poor child just because of his race.

When men and women in this country make life-long careers out of jetting around the country and drumming up fear of “racists”, when your political opponents figure that they don’t need to debate with you or refute your statements when calling you a racist will work better, and finally:

When even being a part-black hispanic man can’t stop people from calling you a whiteracistbabymurderer!

Then enough of that crap and I can see how someone might come up with a slogan like that.

Well, in that case, he probably put it there himself.

Let me try to explain it to you. Back in the 70s, in Europe, the communist street agitators adopted the monikers “anti-racist” or “anti-fascist” in their battles with nationalists and anti-communists. Some of those nationalist groups did indeed have ties with racists, so it was understandable at that time.

However, after they basically triumphed over those guys, the leftists continued to use the labels, but, not having many real racists left to fight, they turned to other targets. “Antifascism” morphed into a covert fight against capitalism, and “antiracism” morphed into a covert fight against traditional, mainly white, cultural institutions. These names give them great cover for their subversive activities, because if you are against “antiracists”, everyone will assume you must be a racist!

Clever leftist marketing at its best.

That’s the beauty of this statement. The authors could be anyone from the Klan or neo-Nazis to the Black Panthers. It’s a mild, simple, factual assertion, which they try to demonize as racist. But doing that, just proves the point of the statment. I think its brilliant.
