I was considering a tat of my hockey team’s “Batman” logo. This was when I was 59 yo.

But then the team moved to Winnipeg.

Knew people who wanted tattoos so I suggested they get their idea done as a temporary to “test drive” it. Doesn’t cost much. They didn’t want to hear it, knowing full well that on second thought, they would realize that most would be bad ideas.

A tattoo is the least of the reasons.

I used to work with a young lady who did henna tattoos. They always looked quite nice. Mostly they were a small intricate design that was placed somewhere that all she had to do was roll down a sleeve and they were hidden from view.

I am a Christian. No tattoos. Did not “sort” of quote. Yes, yes, and yes. But I am forgiven if I made a mistake on this post.

Ha, ha no kidding!

I hate to see young girls with such pretty skin mess it up with the ugly tattoo ink. Why do something permanent like that to your body? Ink under the skin can’t possibly be healthy. I also find it amusing how many people who are insistent that everything they ingest or use be 100% natural get tattoos. Weird.

The Bible says not to mar your body with piericings and such. I just don’t get it. Of course, when I was young, only old sailors and ex-cons had tattoos.

BTW, with each tattoo one gets, the risk of contracting hepatitis C increases. You are not allowed to donate blood for at least 1 year after getting a tattoo. That should tell you something.

There are to types of tattoo people.

1. Those who are so ugly that the tats don’t help
2. Those who are good looking and you have to ask why the need to deface art.

Besides I already have too many identifying marks/scars.

The presence of a tattoo should not be treated as a positive identifier or more significantly to rule someone out as a suspect. Someone may have a "memorable tattoo" but they can get something else tattooed over it. Just as attacker with "no tattoos" can get a tattoo.

After I posted that you "sort of quoted", I realized that it may have been an accurate quote, depending on what version you were using, it isn't in the K.J.V that way and that's the one I use. Your version obviously differs.

My primary point was that Christians are not subject to all the Levitical laws.

I'm very happy to hear that you are a Christian.
