Irving Texas 100 students at Nimitz High School in Irving were tested for tuberculosis Wednesday.
The group of students was offered the free testing because they may have been exposed to TB when they shared a class last spring with a student recently diagnosed with the contagious disease.
That student, who has not been identified, began showing symptoms late this summer.

Maybe. Nimitz HS in Irving probably has the largest white and smallest minority population of any of the 3 Irving HSs. Though the minority pop is probably over 50% (I don’t know exactly), Nimitz is in the area of town that older, long time Irving residents are in with a large percentage of single family homes vs. apartments. The two other schools are in areas that have large apartment pops, and North Irving, the area with the greatest concentration of wealth (and current home of the Cowboys practice facility) is not even in the Irving school district!
My wife works for the Irving school district and attends different schools during the week. Nimitz is one of them, so we have a mild concern here, but its very unlikely there’s any outbreak.

This was caused by tuberculosis bacteria immigrating illegally.
