In the mid-90’s, some flaming liberal city council member in Minneapolis tried to get the voting age reduced to 12 or 14 (I don’t remember specifically). The liberal indoctrination factor—of impressionable (not discerning) children, no less— was exactly my immediate impression as to why this was a horrible idea.
