when it becomes irrelevant enough, it will then re-assert itself, and a pendulum will swing in the direction of making it relevant BIG TIME, once again.

Any book that is believed in by hundreds of millions of people is relevant.

from the article!
"But be advised, the Bible will cause you to think and to act. It gives a description of itself in Hebrews 4:12- For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are.

I wonder if the family and friends of the victims of the massacre in Kenya wished the attackers were Bible thumpers.

I’m interested in what God has to say, so yeah, I'd say it was still relevant.

Strange piece for the foxes to tackle. They as much as any are front and center in tempting God. Sodomy still has the same outcome as it did when it was first denounced by God Himself. And then Christ said Mark 13:23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
This modern age of liberalism, has deceived itself ‘they can do things better’.

This article reminds me of the “news stories’ we used to make up as knobs at the Citadel. We were supposed to read a newspaper every day and relate stories at mess for the entertainment of upper classemen and learn how to carry on a proper dinner conversation. Freshman didn’t have time to read a paper so we’d often just pull something out of the air to talk about. Looks like the author had a dead line and needed to do the same.

If only it were also the most read book. Far too many sit collecting dust...

It’s always amazing and sad to see that even many who profess to love the Bible, do not even capitalize the word.

Its always amazing and sad to see that even many who profess to love the Bible, do not even capitalize the word. I'm guessing that's a function of poor education rather than disrespect; how many students in government schools learn capitalization rules of proper nouns these days?

YES!
It is, always has been, and will always be.
Everyone will know this 100 years from now.

Love that verse. Like other versions better:
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Living being the key word.
We were looking at it in SS class yesterday; reading the book, The Transforming Word, by Pastor Tony Evans. (Excellent series, BTW)

Scientists “debunked” the Bible? When did that happen?

Amen.
Some bozo posted a thread asking whats bad about Jesus on a forum SOMEWHERE on the internet.
I considered educating the poor soul, but realized that to take the bait would be throwing pearls before swine

True, but it’s not A bible, it’s THE Bible. Even many supposedly educated writers do not seem to know the difference.
That’s the first clue of sincerity for me.

... muslim scientists and “athiests”
Lets see if we can find one Nobel award given to a muslim for a hard science.
From all the billions they have to choose from, youda thunk they could have generated one!
What failures!

Actually the article is very good. If someone wanted to at least get people to look at the Bible seriously it’s a start.
The author is an ordained minister and Gospel singer, not that that actually means anything these days.
