Senator Cruz is doing Texas proud today... This guy is amazing.
Yes he is. He is a great American!!!! We need more of these guys!!!
the only boot on John Wayne’s feet were Lucchese boots
“all you need is to type an email and password and you can also go on twitter and support Senator Cruz. its really easy to register and you dont have put your real email or name there you can use any pictures ,none or names.”
I have been doing so,,under a different handle,,but I’ve been tweeting my heart out and retweeting the stuff Cruz is sending out.
My company has done the same thing. Really impacting the young workers and the ones who are on fixed incomes, just trying to work some to make ends meet. :(
no...Senate rules trump...Reid can call for a vote...the question is a 60 or 51 vote...I think..it does get confusing.
There is some question if this is or not a Filibuster that...rather just Cruz making his point...but it's woth it...never can tell what the republicans are doing on the side lines...it gives all time.
However we've been down this road before on Obamacare...late night votes. I suspect they'll pass the bill and delay funding of Obamacare for a year.
Then Obama has the veto or not...I can't see him pushing his signature accomplishment down the road another year...but who knows.
Well, Cruz, Lee, Sessions and Vitter are on the record for wanting to completely defund this monster - with no tricks. If that’s true about Paul, he’ll be exposed...big time. How’s that?
I voted for this guy and convinced my boss to vote for him too. I’ve never been prouder for a vote I cast in my life! My new hero. Thank you Tea Party for raising Cruz to the attention of Texan Republicans.
“It’s already succeeded.”
Yes and no.
YES in that Ted Cruz has succeeded in securing his (deserved) prominence amongst conservatives.
NO in that he will also succeed in showing that in spite of countless hours and dollars and votes for so-called “conservatives”, that the gop doesn’t listen, won’t listen, doesn’t care and is hell bent on imposing every socialist scheme possible to the detriment of the American people.
And the next issue we’ll get to discuss, at length, will be pro’s and con’s of secession. I don’t blame Ted Cruz for that: it’s coming anyway. It’s just not a discussion I much look forward to.
Now reading from a WSJ article and commenting on it. Excellent!
...”The Club warned Tuesday that any senator who supports the motion could be a target in future elections”...
Isn’t that one of Soros’s babies?
Of course he’s all in the game for One Payer Insurance...
Every US Senator who isn’t standing with Sen. Cruz should be ashamed, and every voter who has a senator who isn’t standing with Sen. Cruz should be ashamed of them.
“Thank you for your part in giving us Sen Cruz..”
You wrote that to JRandomFreeper, but someone had to bring Cruz to the forefront, and that was Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, who employed Cruz to help him fight the Washington Democrat Government. Abbott could see the brilliance in Cruz, so we thank Abbott for his choice of Cruz to start him on his grand career for Texas.
Abbott is now running for Texas Governor. Abbott running Texas and Cruz running Washington, is two men who will never give up giving us better government. “Remember the Alamo” is ingrained in their hearts.
This raises a question for me. Knowing that the Baucus train wreck from this runaway train was barreling down the track to unbelievable destruction, they dems did not flinch. The cramed it down our throat, voting in the pitch of night.
Therefore I must conclude that this is phase 1 of their move to complete socialism ( communism). I think we need to be thinking of their phase 2. To move form this to single payor is not what I have in mind. We got a small taste during the Subprime Credit Default debacle. No, they have something much more nefarious in mind. The deems will not be intimidated by a few million people being denied health care or enslaving the younger generation to perpetual indentured servitude to the Federal Government. I hesitate to use the term 'federal', because all of the 'goverance is coming from the Oval office and the left and right on capitol hill. We are rapidly reaching a tipping point which will not play out in a civil manner. My thoughts take me to a horrifying place. But logic and reason will not allow me to conclude otherwise.
Coming to you from sunny, cheerful East Texas.
Serenity Now! Serenity Now!
Rubio Speaks During Cruz’s Marathon Speech
Lee: Harry Reid Wants to Have it Both Ways
Ted Cruz filibuster: Rand Paul helps out
I don’t disagree with you that the liberal GOP wing has sold us down the river. That is on a 30,000 foot strategic level.
On a tactical level though, we’ve made a mistake in 2010 and 2012 in not accepting some RINO types who likely would have allowed for a GOP Senate majority, even if it was only 51-49.
Deciding to dump Mike Castle, Richard Lugar, etc and running Angle, O’Donnell, Mourdock, Todd Akin, etc doesn’t look so smart at the moment. A 51-49 Senate doesn’t necessarily beat Obamacare, but gives us a lot more leverage.
I am ashamed of McShamnesty and McFlake.
“By BURGESS EVERETT | 9/24/13 5:36 PM EDT Updated: 9/24/13 7:10 PM EDT
Rand Paul is standing with Ted Cruz.
The Kentucky GOP senator will oppose a vote to end debate later this week on a House-passed spending bill, which includes a provision defunding Obamacare, a spokeswoman said. Cruz (R-Texas) is urging Republican senators to halt the bill procedurally later this week to prevent Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) from removing the Obamacare provision and pushing a clean spending bill back to the House this weekend...”
Well, at least he’s doing this much...
Pretty crummy speech he gave today though.
LOL! Bedtime stories! He is a genius!!!!
Hey libs...listen to this...for the children.
Ted reading Bible Stories for his daughters?
I’m ashamed of the two senators from my state — Mark Kirk and Dick “sack of” Durbin! One’s a nanny state statist and the other is an outright socialist asshole.
Bible Stories. AWESOME!
If they vote for cloture there will be no amendments period. Paul has been saying for weeks that they can not defund ObamaCare, totally overlooking the fact that they can't fund it either if the house says no.
Reading bedtime stories to his daughters. Brilliant!
Thanks for posting this!! I’ll *take a Cruz break* and listen to Sarah talk about Cruz!
See # 1064.
“Abbott is now running for Texas Governor. Abbott running Texas and Cruz running Washington, is two men who will never give up giving us better government. Remember the Alamo is ingrained in their hearts.”
I wish we could get Abbott in the Senate, maybe Paulken (sp?) for gov and keep Ted in the Senate. There is a lot of conservative depth in Texas, thank God! Can’t wait to see who takes Cornyn’s place. Cornyn might be considered a conservative if he were in NJ,,but in Texas he’s TOAST!
Did he just quote the Good Book? This man is on a roll!
There ya go! I bet The Duke would approve of Black Jack boots, too ;)
I. Love. This. Man.
<< “Id say re-examine your premises. We have a one party system: the gop/rat uniparty. Some small number of reps on the gop side are actual conservatives but theyre outnumbered. Id say we have about 15 who are consistently on our side on the Senate side, maybe 100 or so in the House.”>>
Yes, but they usually at least make an attempt to at least pretend to be conservative. This cloture vote will expose each one of them for exactly what they are — a bonafide, card-carrying member of The Uniparty. Are they stupid? Too enamored with themselves? In denial they could lose their next election? Smoking crack?
My premise is they desire reelection (unless they’re retiring). I don’t understand why they cannot see what is obvious to millions of conservatives in flyover country. After this filibuster, Cruz and other pro-Cruz participants will OWN the Holy Grail of reelection — Cruz’s endorsement in their primaries.
Paul is on board with us on the vote.
Green Eggs and Ham!
I do not like them on a boat.
I listened to Paul and though he didn’t say it particularly well, he was setting Cruz up to say the CR minus ObamaCare was the compromise and Obama was not going to get 100% if that was his idea of compromise.
Green Eggs and Ham!
Green Eggs and Ham..
I do not like Obamacare!
I do not like them, Sam I Am.
He should be reading "Horton Hears a WHO"
WE ARE HERE! WE ARE HERE! WE ARE HERE!
So, you think if we get rid of Graham, we’d lose a general? haha. Don’t worry. Our primary targets are in no-lose states.
I listened to Paul and though he didnt say it particularly well, he was setting Cruz up to say the CR minus ObamaCare was the compromise and Obama was not going to get 100% if that was his idea of compromise.
* I heard that too..sounded like a setup for something but still confused on what it could be?
That's a good image!
Green Eggs and Ham..
I do not like Obamacare!
Absolutely brilliant. I do not think this will ever be topped.
I can’t tell you how many times I read Green Eggs and Ham to my children so many long years ago..... it is also one of my favorites.
Ted Cruz could be the next ‘real’ president.
At least Durbin isn’t afraid to put a ‘D’ beside his name to match his voting. Both of my Georgia Senators are.
Texas size cajones!
