We have a few senators doing the heavy lifting for us, led by Senator Ted Cruz, to determine whether or not we lose more of our LIBERTY.
Probably lots of us have already called, e-mailed, tweeted and so forth, but we can do it again!
After calling if you'd be kind enough to report back what the various staffers had to say, it would be revealing!

I also had to send an email to Cornyn, and one was also sent to GOP.com, telling them this is the life or death day for the GOP. If they cannot stand with Senator Cruz, then we cannot trust them.
I know Blunt is against it. Calling McCaskill would be a waste of time.

with the electronic barbed wire fence our country has surrounded us with, I am afraid totalitarian fascism is our future.
Please understand there is no turning back for America now. Power-hungry politicians and a brain-dead mainstream media have held us all hostage to an agenda of planned economic destruction.
At this point, there is no reform that can halt the inevitable implosion. The dominoes are falling and cannot be stopped.
As much as I admire the backbone of real constitutional leaders in Washington like Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, they are nonetheless too little, too late.
The real focus for the rest of us should be how to survive the day that the federal food stamp program is turned off. The day the food stamp benefit cards stop working is the day a countdown is initiated that will end in riots rolling out across every major U.S. city.
That countdown might be somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 - 9 days, give or take. It all depends on how hungry people get and whether the weather is hot or cold. (Hot weather leads to far more riots. Cold weather tends to keep people inside. The most dangerous scenario is economic collapse during the summer months.)
I urge you to realize that America is quite literally one database away from collapsing into social chaos. (The SNAP food stamp database.) When the funds are turned off from that database, and tens of millions of SNAP debit cards stop working across America, that’s the day you’ll understand just how much damage Obama and others like him have done to our nation.

Ayotte’s office says that she’s afraid the Pubbies will take the blame if 0bozo shuts down the gummint.
If that happens, they reason, then the Pubbies won’t stand a chance to take the Senate in ‘14, and probably lose the House, too.
I told them that will probably happen, anyway, because they are alienating their base.
Well- she’s wrong but that was at least honest from her point of view. She’s gotten too caught up with McCain and Graham- can’t think straight.

Cornholio still had the phone off the hook when I called earlier. As God is my witness, he will be primaried. Traitorous villain.
You know, that’s exactly right. Probably the only difference between what I think and what you stated (although you may think so too) is I think that its going to also involve some type of separation between conservatives and conservative leaning independents, and the left and their ilk. A free country will emerge on the other side, but it may not be the SAME country as the one that implodes.
Contacted Colburn’s DC office this morning. Youngster first said he had not decided and then gave me the line that 85% of the funding would still go through. After some `lively’ conversation, I then pressed on wether he would vote for or against cloture, she said he would vote for it. So Colburn is voting with the rats.....
I understand the damage and I believe that you do too. However, we are looking at the potential outcome of the crash from different perspectives.
You are expecting that the crash will usher in a return to the intent of our framers. You are thinking that “the people” will wish for that return to freedom.
I agree that there will be a crash and that the population will start screaming. However, I believe that they will scream for a crackdown from the top to regain control and to get back to providing for them. In other words, they will be screaming for a dictator to take care of them. The power mongers will be more than happy to accomodate their desire!
I hope you are right and that I am way off base......

Even though my senators are Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow and it is totally useless and futile to contact them, I just did.
Carl Levin’s office had a full message box so my call eventually went to a staff member. I told him why I was calling and that I wanted Obamacare repealed because it would be an economic disaster for our family and the country. I mentioned also that if our insurance went up as much as it is supposed to under this bill, we will lose our house. He said “Why would you lose your HOUSE?” and I said that our insurance will be around a thousand dollars a month under this bill. He said “OK, I’ll pass your concerns along. goodbye.” End of call.
Stabenow’s office just doesn’t answer, her voice mail box is full, so I couldn’t talk to anyone.
I sent emails to both of them, mentioning the fact that members of Congress have exempted themselves from this along with their staffers.
That is 20 minutes of my life that I will never get back.
