This is the establishment circling the wagons, desparately trying to hold onto power before Rome burns.

The bill will then go back to the House.

Why does any state have an open primary?

It evolved as a way for Statists of both parties to have the advantage over Constitutional loving, Liberty loving Americans.

It's the scourge of the political parties --- the arrogant political class.

Open primaries stack the deck against limited government candidates.

This outcome is expected, especially with the pressure put on the senators from their RINO leaders...

have heart... the FRESHMAN senator from Texas got 19 senators to go against senate leadership and he is not done fighting yet.. the senate will get it back and the pressure will continue to build

It would be nice if someone could tell us just exactly what is going on right now. Has the defund language been striped out yet? And if so when did that happen.

I have been involved in politics for a long time. I have run across some great people that I have campaigned for that have run from various offices. Too often they get in to the system and they change. They basically flip once they get their butt stuck in their nice seat up there behind some dias and get reprogrammed by those around them. Sometimes they just get big heads and forget that they may have been pretty smart but they are not nearly as smart as they think they have magically become. These things I mention or magnified the higher they go up the food chain. It is not too bad at the city council level. But once they get in to state legislatures and especially the US Congress the pressure to be “assimilated” is very very strong.

Frankly, some of these folks are not our best and brightest. Take John McCain for example, I was around him several times during campaigns. He is a lightweight and a bit off his skids in the way he thinks that whatever he thinks no matter what indicates otherwise is right. I firmly believe he is mentally ill.

Then there is s person like Ted Cruz. He is as many of us have known for years simply - gifted. For others in politics someone like Cruz can be unsettling. Especially other politicians with legal backgrounds that cannot stomach Cruz because he is so much smarter than they are. The same thing applies to those that have been in power for years. I can assure you that McCain is extremely jealous of Cruz to the point he hates Cruz. Why? Because McCain is the other side of the coin from Cruz. McCain, frankly, is not that bright.

The cool thing about Cruz is that he just does not care. he is cut from the same cloth as Reagan. Cruz won’t be swayed or change. Keep watching him. And also watch the way the other pukes in Congress try to tear Cruz down. They will not be able to help themselves.

I’m proud of Ted Cruz. My Senator.

What will be interesting is the House is not going to accept the Senate’s bill, so it is back to square one. Cruz will have another chance to filibuster when the House’s revised bill comes back.

We need a Target List.

Who voted with Harry Reid and is up for re-election in 2014?
