Plain clothes Secret Service opened fire on her and her child outside the White House first. That’s why she fled. The Capitol Police just finished her off.
I do not believe this a bit. This is the standard excuse when a cop wants to shoot a car driver. The dead driver's car can be in a total pile after ramming a wall when the cop drives up. He can then amble over and shoot the driver and say the driver tried to ram him or just, "I felt threatened."
The Secret Service opened fire on her first when she was at the White House.
It was a stupid joke, unfocused, and devoid of humor. Written by someone who's never seen a cop flamewar thread on FR. Better?
Obama’s Secret Service guy was in plain clothes and pulled a gun on her and opened fire. She thought she was being carjacked and tried to escape.

Doesn’t matter who she is - this just proves that high capacity cars should be banned. They have no legitimate sporting purpose and have no place in a progressive, nuanced society.

Interesting, a dental hygienist (if report is correct).
I would think most dental hygienists look pretty non-threatening ... as opposed to dentists, who scare the heck out of me.
Not second-guessing the police who shot her; but still, if this incident had happened in, say, NYC, I think our lawmakers would not be applauding the police (as they did on Capitol Hill), but condemning them for overkill.
And hey, didn't ex-Congressman Patrick Kennedy "ram a barrier" on Capitol Hill, just a few years ago? But no Capitol police shot at him.
As I recall, Kennedy blamed the sleep medication Ambien for causing the incident. Of course, nothing happened to him.
The SS has been having so many flings on the side in the recent past, it makes one wonder....she did have a child.
Was there a need to kill this woman with multiple shots while her child was in the back seat.

A study in contrasts: John Hinkley, Jr shot President Reagan at point blank range and was subdued, tried and imprisoned. This poor woman drove recklessly near the White House and was shot multiple times.
Not the first time and probably won’t be the last that those guarding someone perceived to be a tyrant by a large percentage of the population tend to over react in protecting said person.
I’m a Deputy Sheriff but I still find fault with them. But I’m in a place where we still work for the people.
