On Thursday, the Pisgah Inn, which holds a concession on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, North Carolina, announced that it would defy the National Park Service’s order to close up, and would open doors for business on Friday. On Friday morning, NPS rangers showed up, lights swirling, to close down the business and turn away its customers, supposedly thanks to the government shutdown.
Pisgah Inn receives no federal money, and according to owner Bruce O’Connell, who spoke exclusively to Breitbart News, “All we do is pay the government money. We don’t take anything from them.” It is located on the Blue Ridge Parkway, which was deemed a thoroughway and therefore left open by the National Parks Service. Nonetheless, earlier this week, the NPS moved to shut it down. Michael Litterst, chief spokesman for the Park Service, said, “We do not believe it is appropriate or feasible to have some parts of the system open while others are closed to the public.”

Obstacles to repentance also need to be cleared as much as possible. Some people underestimate God’s offer. They think they have to heap up good works before God, paying for their sins in some fashion, to be permitted to return. This completely misrepresents God’s bottomless graciousness. All they need to do is stop and embrace Him, this time for a promise of everlasting salvation. The only thing they have to lose is their worldly lives. They will gain the blessings of eternity even right here on earth.
According to a USA Today article, they are only open to the end of this month and their lease ends this year. Since their season is only 7 months (Apr 1st to Oct 31st), this is one seventh of the yearly revenue at risk because Obama wants us to feel THE PAIN! I already felt it when my planned visit to the Naval Air Museum got shot down on the 1st and I am becoming (if possible) increasingly unhappy!
What part of "You didn't build this!" does our POTENTATE not understand?!?
Earthly tyrants could, in principle, be turned from evil. And Christians would be wrong not to proposition even Barack Obama to do that.
However demons won’t ever repent, and they are already under what the bible calls bonds anyhow... God won’t let them move an inch further than He permits them to, in what relatively mature Christians should understand as training battles for believers. Immature Christians may think there is an uncontrolled devil, but they are mistaken and will eventually learn they are mistaken.
As a community organizer, you can tell that like most liberal pretentious intellectuals, Obama loves "THE PEOPLE" but not the individual. Lots of daylight between him and the other two Illinois-related Presidents in this and many other areas!

You said a mouthful right there! It’s friends of feds everywhere you look. Solyndra is a good example. Now the government is restricting the kind of wood-burning stove we can use. Some friend of feds is manufacturing stoves - you can bet the farm on it. Pure corruption in this government. And all done with our money.
A Friend of Feds probably has an eating place right down the road from the one the feds are closing down.

Will we see a conquering Christ who can literally run roughshod over hell? And embrace Him in love and relief?
Because, He is waiting for willing servants who will serve him in an embrace of His love. Love needs willing servants. It is a whole ‘nother dynamic. It is the dynamic of a dynamite heaven.

If these rangers would think this through, they’d do their jobs, just not as efficiently. Man your post, but let people go around. No one is going to get fired over it, and they’d show a little patriotism.

The Feds already own the property. The operators of the Inn pay the Feds to use the property.
It is a dumb idea to close this down but to say the Feds are doing it to buy up the property is not what is happening.
Oh, don’t worry. We have the Oath Keepers that will spring into action. Heck, some of these rangers may even be members.
I realize some here are members and I would like to know if they have a “Red Line”. Does it have to be riots in the streets? From the web site:

10. We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.”
The local police are assisting in some of these shut downs.
I realize I will be flamed for this post. The main reason I am posting it is to demonstrate that it is easy to take strong positions. It is very hard to take action. I am only trying to show there is no clear red line. By the time it appears to have been clearly crossed, it is too late.

Don’t you realize this place could be A Friend of Feds? They could have contributed and voted for Obama. He has a big bus. Plenty of room under it if it serves HIS (/s) purpose.

I wonder if they have a lease and what the contents of the lease says. They should file for an injunction against the Park Rangers. It may either be a breach of the lease or tortious interference with a contract. The bad part is that they will most likely get an Obama supporting judge since they are the majority of the bar and thus of the judiciary.
