Valley Forge Park closed by federal shutdown
King of Prussia Courier News (PA) ^ | 10/07/2013 | Dan Clark

As runners, bikers and even a few visitors from outside of Pennsylvania came to the Valley Forge National Park Tuesday, a U.S. park ranger stood about 20 feet from the entrance turning them away.

Calling the park led to a voice message explaining the entire park is closed and will not open again until the federal government opens again, which no one has a prediction for.

Runners were told to go their cars and leave and the park, which will be closed for the duration of the shutdown.

Valley Forge was not closed 'by a federal shutdown'. It was closed because an individual, acting at Obama's behest, gave written orders to park rangers to effect the closure. That individual is the toady Director of the National Park Service, Jonathan Jarvis.

Jarvis closed Valley Forge. Jarvis fenced out the WWII vets. Jarvis threw people out of their homes within park lands. Jarvis tried to take possession of Mt. Vernon. Jarvis blocked access to Mt. Rushmore. Jarvis is the craven, snivelling scum that licks Obama's shoes and says "thank you, Master".

To park ranger: Show me a portion of federal law that permits you to close this park for anything other than a natural disaster or public health hazard. You do not have the authority to tell anyone to leave this park outside of posted park hours, and YOU MUST POST AT LEAST 45 DAYS IN ADVANCE ANY CHANGE TO PARK HOURS. It is a violation of federal law to set park hours to none. I am explicitly entering and using this park to protest this blatant attempt to violate federal law.

Arrest me if you dare.

The worst thing to ever happen to that park was for Pa to get the feral government to take it over.
Thought that they would save a few bucks but the park immediately went on a dive for the worst as landmark features were removed and roads shut down.

I lived very near there for 29 years and it was a crying shame.

On the lighter brighter side, Obama’s allowing illegals to have a rally on the Washington Mall... protesting for amnesty. THEY get the exception.

Other lighter news: for now, Obama’s goons are NOT going to shoot the World War II vets who try to get into see their Memorial....

Please indulge me as I post the below graphic. Valley Forge is emblematic of the meaning of our Nation and its closure says everything you need to know about the Obama Regime. They are a mob of godless, Marxist scoundrels and their evil knows no bounds.

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!

IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who straggled into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.

AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and envelop them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

HEAVENLY FATHER, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these valiant men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your loving embrace, that You cause Your Countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Agreed. A portion of that park was part of my Families estate. If I was still close enough to drop by, I would give the ranger a piece of my mind.
