CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A temporary increase in food stamps expires Oct. 31, meaning for millions of Americans, the benefits that help put food on the table won't stretch as far as they have for the past four years.
Food stamps - actually the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - go to 47 million Americans a month, almost half of them children and teenagers.

Maybe you should consider GETTING A JOB like all the taxpayers you are leeching off of.
I was on welfare and food stamps for a short time YEARS ago. You wouldn’t believe the games the government plays. If they pay your rent and there is a rent hike of $20, they take it out of your food stamps even though YOU didn’t get the money. The game playing made me crazy. I jumped for joy when Hubby got a job!

we’ve got so much free cheese , we have to export it to people trying to murder us!
How about instead of money for this program they hand out cheese and other foods rotting in govt warehouses?
Make this program have a stigma attached to it (as it should) and watch the numbers drop.

So this woman takes PRIDE in robbing hard working taxpayers, and her pride is wounded when she is asked to rob a bit less?
“Food stamps do not support a diabetic diet; doesn’t even come close,” she said. “I’m supposed to eat a lot of vegetables, some fruit, some carbs. Six ounces of meat per day isn’t a lot. I don’t have a big freezer. There are times I’m eating the same thing for a week.”
Food stamps are not supposed to provide for all of your dietary needs the “S” in SNAP stands for “supplementary”. I guess it is too much to ask these bums to provide for even a small portion of their own needs.
95% of the time when I am in a supermarket line behind somebody with their shopping cart stacked high with fresh shrimp, prime cuts of meat and premium frozen ready to microwave and eat meals, they are paying with an EBT card. And driving off in a car I can't afford. But I'm expected to subsidize them with my taxes.
Why do you suppose that is?
If you offered her a job, you would have to fight her she would be so mad. The good part for those of her ilk, that sooner, probably sooner, or later, their gravy train is going to be derailed. Then her and her ilk will be in for a world of hurt. They won’t make it.

Unemployment claims up this week. Obama’s liars in the media keep distracting people from the real story. This jackass President is killing jobs.
We did a check on food stamps, not for need but was curious, and we were amazed at the “freebies” included....
We live comfortably, travel, have second home in Colombia and eat what ever we want to!
But guess what...??? Im eligible!!!!!!!!!!!1 Not a lot but its absurd what the gov throws away. I was floored...no wonder our country is a mess
