Obama, Boehner negotiations at a stand still (Obama rejects deal)
CNN ^ | Oct 12, 2013 | Tom Cohen, Greg Botelho and Leigh Ann Caldwell, CNN

Talks between House Speaker John Boehner and President Barack Obama over the government shutdown and looming debt limit deadline have hit a brick wall.

Boehner relayed the news to his Republican caucus during a Saturday morning meeting after a night of work where little progress was made. Republican Rep. Paul Labrador of Idaho emerged from the meeting, telling CNN that "the President rejected our deal."

The standstill has decreased the possibility that the House would vote to reopen the government this weekend and while leadership would remain in Washington to work on a proposal, rank-and-file members might return to their districts until Monday afternoon.

Obama rejects every deal, then goes on TV and blames Republicans for it..I would love the chance, just once, to go right up to slimy Obama’s face and tell him to go F himself..if I could just have that one chance that would be great

Boehner is obviously either not bending over far enough or not spreading his cheeks far enough for Obama. Have a drink John, you can trust Obama.

Sooner or later even the brain dead leadership in the Democratic Party is going to start worrying if the president’s poll numbers start going down and the generic congressional polling shows them doing poorly for next year’s election. Yeah, that NBC/WSJ poll might have the MSM wetting their pants and jumping for joy, but the people who run the Democratic Party know that in the long term this will hurt them if the shutdown continues to linger on and the president keeps saying no to any compromise.

As some pointed out — this is a strategy on Obama’s and the Democrats’ part — as long as they get away with blaming the Republicans for everything, they will keep doing it — their eyes are on the prize to take over the House and have total control.

President Obama Is Winning Against House Republicans

http://politix.topix.com/news/8390-president-obama-is-winning-against-house-republicans

“According to polls, there are 24 Republican-held House districts that Democrats would have a good chance of winning if the election were held today. And the Democrats need only 17 seats to take over the House.

If the Republicans continue to bow to the tea party god, they’ll lose the next two elections, at least. That combined with their neglect of the needs of a growing population of voters - Hispanics, women and African-Americans - means Democrats will have a serious political advantage over the next decade, and beyond.”

Half this nation doesn’t know where DC is located, asking them to understand congressional budgets or quantitative easing would make their head explode.

Regardless how this ends up, Boner has to be removed as Speaker! Maybe, before this ends!

If people are stupid enough with everything that is going on right now to vote Democrat and give the House back to the Rat party we dont have a country anymore anyway..that is the way I see it..people were stupid enough to vote for this Marxist a-hole not once but TWICE..they see how bad Obamacare is now, they see how its going to raise their premiums, if they vote Dem after all that I guess this country is doomed anyway

Dems do it because they think if people hurt long enough and listen to the BS media telling them the mean mean Republicans are at fault, in 2014 they will win back the house and Obama will be able to do whatever the hell he wants without anyone in his way to tell him no

At what point do the Senate Democrats up for re-election in 2014 break ranks with Obama and Reid to save themselves?

Public education has provided a means for the freeloaders a path to prosperity.

I understand that will be ridiculed here, but the fact remains that an overwhelming majority cannot afford a private education.

The freeloaders choose nothing. I kept my grades up and enlisted in the AF. Best move I ever made. I do not feel pity for the able-bodied deadbeats that make up a large percentage of this country.

I think it’s time to quit screwing around with him. Just pack up and go home. Don’t answer their phone calls, don’t talk to Harry Reid, don’t negotiate, don’t even talk to them about the weather.
