Somali pirates get life terms instead of the needle. The bozos at DOJ brought the case to trial in 40+% black Norfolk, VA, when they could have done so anywhere in the country. They really screwed the pooch on this one, but it's the kind of thing that's become SOP at Eric Holder's DOJ.

Millions of dollars will be spent to house and feed them when dumping them in the sea would have sufficed.

Black Americans typically cannot stand Somalis and vice versa which is a major reason why so many Somalis moved to Maine from Ohio and Georgia.

If you go to Somali in about six months, if that long, from now and start nosing around the villages there, don’t be surprised to see the pirates running around over there.

another reason why they moved to Maine was for government benefits but they went to Maine to get away from black Americans.

They were high seas pirates. They should have been tried and found guilty on the Sterett, and immediately executed by hanging or firing squad. There was no need to bring them to the U.S. at all.

How long before they each have their own villas, small businesses and luxury vehicles in Bermuda?

They should be dead.

Instead, the Tyrant will pardon them
and they will work for the DO”J” ... or Pentagon.

I thought this was being brought in an Admiralty Court, not a federal criminal court.

The only reason I can think of for keeping these three killers alive is to use them as trade for the scores, if not hundreds of other civilians and seamen still held captive by the pirate organizations.

Life imprisonment, even for these savages, will not be a deterence to the others. Only bodies hung by their feet with their faces shown will get the message across, though the pirates probably dont’ give a damn, esp. since they hold lots of hostages who they can execute at will.

One big mistake our military made in the raid of Berawa (sp) in Somalia was to retreat when they couldn’t seize the building with the suspected Al Shabaab leader in it due to women and children.

Fuck em. We should have had airstrikes take out the whole damned building and any reinforcements spotted on the way to it.

Our military has become so politically correct that now the enemy is telling us what we can and cannot do to them.

The first rule of warfare against terrorism: “There are no rules”. “Collateral damage” is not found in our dictionary of military terms”.

If you sleep with the enemy, you die with the enemy.

I suspect the Uighurs were just along for the ride. The Taliban/al Qaeda were the only group willing to provide training to Uighurs and risk offending the Chinese. The Somalis on trial here are genuine pirates who had a direct hand in killing 4 American hostages. They should have been sentenced to die.

The defendants were previously indicted on July 8, 2011, by a federal grand jury on 26 counts, which included conspiracy to commit hostage taking, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, kidnapping resulting in death, conspiracy to commit violence against maritime navigation resulting in death, piracy, and firearms offenses.

Those savages should have been shot on the spot and fed to the sharks.

A lifetime jail sentence is not going to deter an Islamic pirate from doing what they do.

The only thing that stops piracy is the well exercised hangmans noose.

That's what I call initiative.

Several of the victims were amateur radio operators. I heard they executed the victims after the navy closed in on them.

Should have been treated like pirates on the high seas. This is outrageous!

This will never happen. Them, working? :-) They are probably accepting bids for ghostwriting their books.

Gallows. Nor worth a bullet. Rope can be reused. Do not feed and house these vermin, who have no right to trial in US, should have been executed at sea.

The lesson is that if you kill Americans, you get free room, board, TV, Korans and health care courtesy of the American taxpayer. Otherwise, you’re stuck in Somalia.
