They aren’t afraid of hard work. Many will lie down next to it and go right to sleep.

If I owned a business, it would be “No EBT”.

The ACLU and NAACP lawsuits would cost you more than the EBT customers.

Sorry, but businesses are not obligated to accept EBT. Show me the law which says otherwise.

Since when would lack of a law keep the ACLU and NAACP from impoverishing you by filing lawsuits which you would have to defend? Even if they get thrown out, they still cost you. SLAPP suits, I think they call them. Strategic Lawsuit Against Political Participation.

If Conservatives begin to operate with that line of thinking, that is truly pathetic.

You missed the whole point of the post you responded to, and turned it around to bash conservatives.

BTW, why don’t you engage me here on the thread about things you don’t agree with instead of through FR mail?

I wonder if the spending binge will catch up with them, too. Anything done electronically can be tracked. Who will end up paying for this?

there is a procedure. there are store-specific paper vouchers issued by jp morgan to fill out, there's a phone number to call for merchants to check the card balance at time of transaction. i think someone told me that had been down... but there's also commonly a $50 limit if balance is unknown and the system is down.

it's inefficient and just a royal a pain but i've dealt with this before on the retail side. there was no reason for walmart to just accept this blindly for over an hour other than crowd control and fear of unrest.

It is official. We now have mob rule. Thank you, LBJ, for starting the “War on Poverty”. A system which FORCED the best of the country to pay the stupid and lazy to breed to the point they now out number us.

i was not aware of that $50.00 balance rule of thumb. Pretty bonehead move then.

Walmart should save all the security video from the checkout lanes, and match up customer pics with checkout time for those who paid with EBT. Then bill the EBT $50 at a time until they’ve recovered them money. If the EBT holder complains, show them their own picture on the checkout line, and tell them “you bought it, you pay for it”.

Free-for-All

(sorry Ted, it had to be done)

Never was it this much fun
Everything looks good to me
My beady eyes see some frozen fries
And I just can't let them be
Well it's a free-for-all
And I heard it said
You take just what you want
The stakes are high and so am I
It's in the air toni-i-ight

We all are there with our
Cheshire grins I got eyes on free food
No stinkin’ card limits are in place
No tellin what I might do
Well looky here ain’t no gubmint sting
Food card magic's in my hand
When in doubt I whip it out
My cart total’s over a grand
It's a free-for-all

Ooh, baby
Ooh, I got ya
Aaaaaaa

I agree, but what's likely to happen is Walmart will pass the cost to everyone else.

For me, this is sickening. Forty two years ago I got pregnant at fifteen. The father and I married and will celebrate, if I don't kill him first, our forty two year anniversary this December. At seventeen he went to work and paid every penny of our child's expenses and supported us. No help to speak of from our families, and not only did we not receive ANY government assistance, we didn't seek any. When I think of him coming home in the middle of winter, having pulled a double shift, at seventeen and eighteen years of age, his feet soaking wet from the carpet mill die-house, I get sick when I see these ingrates taking advantage of the American taxpayers. They disgust me.

Since when, in civilized society, do we accept lawlessness and theft, mob behavior as non punishable because it is natural human behavior?

I said is was the default. Man is essentially evil in my opinion, liberals say man is good.

Are we willing to pay the cost of correcting them? that is what civilization is. We won’t have time for a coffee break.

There are two proverbs:

1) Always correct a fool..............(I’ll let you look them up)
2) Never correct a fool...............

We have a lot of fools.

There are learned philosophers and theologians who have studied this and have biblically based philosophies on man’s moral nature

I will defer to them for my view on whether people are basically good or bad

It’s liberals who devise their own religion and philosophies thinking they can interpret the bible better than these men and I don’t ever go down that road
