I had bought one of his healing books when my kids were little. I had NO idea, none, that Michael Weiner and Michael Savage were one in the same.
I have to tune out/off frequently. He’s either on, or “on” or memorex or “off”.
I know, and understand that...but the VISUAL of him belching....and my own mind conjouring up the breath that would be there...was enough to gag a maggot LOL
I also had No idea until I hear Mark say a few things on his show the last year, um, “fiji”. I googled it. Then I wished I hadn’t googled it. Know what I mean?

Agreed.....I lost my best buddy when my father died......the GOOD news is...I truly KNOW we will be together again one day. GOD is good :-)

He’s opened-up only a few select times to me; the horrors they went thru he mostly keeps to himself and a few buddies who’ve survived. The hair on my neck stands-up when he tells me some of the things which they did and went thru during D-Day and Battle of The Bulge.
ALthough, I hasten to add, my dad is gonna kick my arse, if I am not more tolerant of my mother...She can be hell on wheels, but one thing my dad did NOT tolerate is me or my brother upsettig our mother.....(Damn, am I in trouble!!) ;-)

My father rarely spoke of his time in the war to me also...but I vividly recall when Desert Shield kicked off, and he KNEW my job....he looked me in the eye...and said...”I have lived too long, when I face sending my daughter to war” After that...he shared a few war stories.......and I shared a few too..but for the most part...he wold just look at me...take my hand, and give it one of those “all knowing” fatherly squeezes.......
My dad’s oldest brother was in the Battle of the Bulge. He passed a few years ago.

My grandfather was there too, FUdd.......As we sit here and type abot this...one wonders if our children wiill remember...or care...or discuss...where our fathers and grandfathers (and in my case...their MOther has been................)
I had many “moments” during my Viet Nam era...but somehow...Desert SHield, and knowing I would be within 50 miles of the FEBA (Forward edge of the Battle Line) was different...........and hell............there was no such thing as a FEBA in Iraq! The entire freakin country was the battle line! And so it was...and so it remains...in A-stan as well.......And I dare say ANY dad that was in WW2 or Viet Nam is secretly saying “HOLY CRAP” when thinking of their daughters being in that crap.......but we suck it up and drive on. It is what we do. (Damned shame our CinC is such a POS!)

Good people are standing up, but the Dems and GOP country club types standing in the way. How do we get the GOP e to do a thing besides benefiting themselves? My Senator just gets nastier and nuttier and Jr. McFlake ran as a Libertarian/Conservative and turned tail after the election.

I know I am somewhat late responding but I think you are wrong. I'm sure most here do give a rat's ass, which is why we listen. Chatting to the choir here is not necessary to prove our concern.
As for myself, I will speak to friends about what I hear and perhaps even pen an article for a web site I contribute to if I think I can add something to the conversation. The banter here is an aside, a sort of how are you and what is going on. Serious thoughts take more time to gel than kneejerk reactions.
