Heavily-armed federal agents have raided a white supremacist family's Arizona compound and seized dozens of weapons and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
Kirby Kehoe and his son Cheyne, 37, are known for allegedly trying to establish a whites-only nation within the United States. Both men are convicted felons and legally barred from possessing firearms.
More than 50 agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives geared up on Tuesday and raided the family's 40-acre ranch near Ash Fork, Arizona, about 140 miles north of Phoenix.

They might want to look into the mayor of Jackson, MS.... but they won’t
I had never heard of these people, the one son Chevie Kehoe the article says killed a gun dealer, the wife of the gun dealer and their 8 year old daughter in the state of Arkansas. What a heinous crime, that must call for the death penalty.
Breaking News from Britain!
So the shutdown's over!? Hallelujah! \
But that son is in Federal Prison serving Life. Maybe the Feds don’t use the DP. Horrible crime, this Chevie committed. Hanging offense.
the excuse:
“Both men are convicted felons and legally barred from possessing firearms”
The reason: “White only nation”
And of course the federal agents have proof beyond any reasonable doubt that the firearms and ammo in the family's home belong to the person(s) barred from having them? They don't belong to say, other family members?
These guys were involved with a group called the “Aryan Republican Army” back in the 90s, who tried to carry on the work of an older white supremacist group called “The Order”, from the 80s. They are real bad news, violent revolutionary types, not like some klansmen clowning around in the woods.
Yes, I suspect if they were Black Panthers, the Feds would have no problems with them.
They should have saved themselves a lot of problems and just CALLED themselves “The Black Panthers”
Were they playing “The Knockout Game” or something?
The elderly Kehoe was in a shootout with Police in the ‘90s, these guys are not child’s play.
Yep, no matter how many illegal guns they had
IIRC: Convicted felons are not supposed to be in a home that has guns in it. Does not matter who owns them.
In the light of the moronic imbeciles that were the voting block for this sitting president, any ideas of turning the tide are being made an example, good or bad.
I wasn’t sure about that. That stinks, but I can see both sides of that issue.
I hate that. nothing in the constitution says you cannot exercise your rights to self protection, once you are convicted, serve your sentence and are released.
If they wanted to prosecute a dangerous person, so he no longer is a problem, they should have either put him in jail for life or executed him.
this point in time, misdemeanor convictions of domestic violence precludes one from their constitutional rights also....when will it come down to jaywalking or speeding tickets. I personally know guys whose spouses lied and claimed home violence to better feather their divorce settlements. They became unable to legally own weapons.
Back in the early-mid 1980s, Kirby Kehoe and his family lived near me in the WNC mountains. Kirby fixed my car on occasion and was a nice, decent fellow. I liked and trusted him. If you like to push people around, you’ll find that some folks will push back.
How did they push him?
Was his brother pushed into murdering an innocent 8 year old girl?
What did she do to the poor, misunderstood Kehoes?
Well, as long as "no officers were injured", why NOT reduce his sentence. After all, the life and well-being of some random, peon, "passer-by" is nowhere NEAR as important as the safety of law enforcement officers.
I do not think that is the case - at least here in Virginia. In Virginia, as far as I know, the restriction is on actually owning or possessing. I also think it would be unreasonable to require a person to stay away from places where someone else owns a gun. How is the person suppose do know whether someone else owns a gun?
Also, it’s likely that the laws differ among the states.
They showed that little 8-year old girl they were people who would not be pushed around, didn’t they?
;-)
Apparently the shut down doesn’t mean they gov has shutdown the
raid machinery.....only parks and other irrelevant things.

I drove through there not long after that happened...it was a zoo...
I find it strangely coincidental that our police and federales really muster it together to go after someone at their home, doing nothing wrong except possesing certain items...if they're white or Christian, or Lord forbid, both....
“worse than the Latino gangs?....worse than the black muslim fanatics?....”
I guess it all depends on what standard you use to measure what is “worse”. White supremacists like these guys are always smaller in number than the ethnic gangs, so in terms of sheer threat to society they might be less significant. However, they sometimes make up for that with being smarter and better organized.

Yeah, but I don’t think that is the case here. These are not just some preppers, apocalyptic-minded Christians, or militia types. They are a family of white supremacists, with ties to violent racist organizations who have a history of using violence to pursue their political goals. They weren’t targeted the government out of the blue.
I do not think these were just some white people whose ideas the government decided they didn't like.
I also think there is a definite distinction to be made between white separatists (Randy Weaver) and white supremacists (the Kehoes).
I am not personally on-board with either philosophy, but at least white separatists are mostly peaceful, and cause no trouble if left alone to pursue their beliefs. This is often not the case with the supremacist crowd.
I’m sure they do too. Just like most things if you are not doing something wrong then nobody would know. But if you are a felon and in a bad place crack house for sure they will hit you with the charge if busted
