McConnell pushes back on 'Kentucky kickback'
CNN ^ | 10/17/13 | Byron Wolf

Posted on 10/17/2013 8:50:52 AM PDT by jimbo123

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell denied slipping a special provision into a deal he co-engineered to end the 16-day government shutdown and end a showdown over raising the nation's debt ceiling.

And the longtime Republican Senator from Kentucky had an admonishment for Republicans whose sole focus is the "impossible dream" of ending Obamacare.

Perhaps, and I wouldn’t put it past the RATs to stick it in there just to gore him. That said, there were no loud protests pre-passage out of his mouth, were there? No suggestion that whatever the merits, it did not belong in a “clean” bill.

He’s crying, so a nerve was struck, which means he’s vulnerable. Meaning pure fodder for his opponent.

Matt Bevin has been handed a golden opportunity.

I can see the commercial: show McConnell’s locks and dams interspersed with pictures of people waiting for health care. Then show McConnell’s picture.

“If you like the destruction of your health care, thank Mitch McConnell for the Kentucky Kickback.” And then beat McConnell bloody with it.

Ending obamacare is only a dream as long as congress, staffers, federal employees, judges, and the connected don't have to be in it or have a different subsidy scale than the public.

Make them eat their party grown peas, and make them pay the same for them as the rest.

Dream realized in 30 seconds.

"It's clear that Democrats are not gonna blink" on Obamacare, he said, although he promised to keep up the fight against the health law. "It's a disaster," he argued, pointing to the glitches in the healthcare.gov website.

But ending it is an "impossible dream".

I'm sick to death of these doubletalkers.

We all know you have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it, so of course he would have no idea. /s

McConnell’s excuse is....

I agree with everyone (Republicans) but I couldn’t do anything about it because I don’t have any ideas about how to do anything about it so I have to keep going along with the destruction of the country and against my (supposed) principles because the people I agree with are wrong. And by the way, I got $2 billion dollars from the fed in this compromise to keep projects in my state going.

(BTW - It’s suppose to be incoherent and conflicting)
