Company to pursue action against HHS for using copyrighted web script.
Healthcare.gov, the federal government's Obamacare website, has been under heavy criticism from friend and foe alike during its first two weeks of open enrollment. Repeated errors and delays have prevented many users from even establishing an account, and outside web designers have roundly panned the structure and coding of the site as amateurish and sloppy. The latest indication of the haphazard way in which Healthcare.gov was developed is the uncredited use of a copyrighted web script for a data function used by the site, a violation of the licensing agreement for the software.

get er done!
It will probably have to be scrapped and totally rewritten from scratch. Maybe 3-5 YEARS for a program of this complexity to be rewritten and debugged.....................
The website was obviously done by the same rubes that come up with the counterfeit birth certificate.
I do hope that we HEAR the full storyline on the violation.
We meaning ALL of the American “public”.
SO much trash...so little time.
GASP.....come to think of it.....youre probably right.
failing to take out a FREE license for code....is beyond laughable...and at the same time horribly SAD....
For the greater good of the country in the pursuit of implementing Obamacare, no lawsuit for copyrighted software violation will be allowed by the regime /s/
Obastard will simply condemn the company under eminent domain and seize their Intellectual Property. Name a “fair value” of $1. Problem solved. Simple.
In other news.... the IRS will be auditing them shortly....
This administration is a third rate operation from top to bottom.
I bet the majority of 684 million dollars was laundered to (?????, Al Qaeda, DNC, Obama's retirement fund, Acorn).
Pee wee Herman designed Obamacare website. Pee Wee may suffer chicagoside.
the DRONES...I’m told are already on their way....
Payback to bundlers and mystery donors.
Obamacare don’t need no “stinking copywrite notices”.
Here I was trying to find the terms and conditions page...ON the stinking site...to make a bigger screenshot of the CODE...whrein the warnng about PRIVACY....is located.
Kabam.....I find this story and somehow I dont think the revelations have more than gotten underway on this surreal fiasco.
Pee Wees Wonderful Healthcare....
hey maybe anthony wiener can get a job with wee wee//
The Free Republic Scoops the Drudge Report on this one.
So they will shut it down AND the government will face massive lawsuits to pay on top of the millions already spent to come up with the failed system. But we are just supposed to be patient and remember that twitter had some glitches when just getting off the ground, no problem.
Sounds like some whistleblower called the Business Software Alliance tipline.
As somebody who’s been doing software QA for a living for 9 years now (and did mainframe development for 17 years before that), it’s fascinating to watch the technical aspects of this website trainwreck. It’s clear to me that the entire project was managed about like you’d expect a government project to be managed and that either there was no time for testing, the testers were incredibly slipshod, or the testers were ignored. The code is apparently incredibly inefficient when it even works at all, and I’m not surprised one bit that they’d steal some copyrighted code bits and slam them in there.
All I’m getting on my phone is a page full of ads. Is anybody else seeing this?
PeeWee’s Affordable Health Orifice!
Come on in, Its fun!
Affordable insurance at the point of a gun!
We make the Jack boot a real hoot!
The Idiot Cousin Theory of Government
Obammycare is the “All Cousins Employment Act”
“All Im getting on my phone is a page full of ads. Is anybody else seeing this?”
No, hold your phone up in front of the screen so we can see it.
WOOPS THERE IT IS!!!!
I sent the link to drudge but he still doesnt have it on his page.
Spooky - just in time for Halloween.
its Illustrative of ..The Obama Way.
the Third....AUthentic Genuine Homemade Birth Certificate couldnt BE much worse that this “site” theyve grown....FROM MOLD ....
Im certain that this image will be PROOF or racism....... when it makes its way to SOME forums....
the bureau of utter denial....already has
considering the functionality of that miasma from hell theres not telling what ELESE might be in there.
TIme-coded trojans galore...PERHAPS??
It looks like they even changed the Brace Style from BSD Style in the original file to K&R Style - yet another reason for me to hate the site... (I prefer and use BSD Style.)
Now that will cost the taxpayer’s a pretty penny if the developers so chose
and that still won’t be perfect....This boon doggle is the perfect example of why government is INCAPABLE of complex solutions
More likely the IVV team at HHS ran a Black Duck scan on the code, and someone leaked the results.
no matter the size of the problem...Our Current Government is incapable of solving it
“Large or Small...we cant handle JACK”
hey thats Obamas Kansas Cousin....
My former employer had several policies on FOSS. These were maintained, reviewed, updated and disseminated regularly.
Some of these involved in HHS.gov are idiots. Can you say ‘infringement’? Any idea how long that takes to resolve through a court system, not to mention the $$$ involved?
it will take YEARS
with the court systems backing up as we speak...its only bound to get worse it may take decades.
lets hear it for the regime...
neener neener neener
I have VAST experience in UA testing - when I worked for MCI many moons ago, I had to design a software platform for my department.
After formulating the user requirements, I hired a good contracting firm to write the code - things were going great and my UA testing went VERY well. Thats when things went south.
The MCI MIS department got jealous of the progress we were making and got my contracters fired - they then took over the project. BIG MISTAKE !!!
Lousy code, missing user requirements, NO beta testing - and everytime I came up with a bug [which was often], MIS tried to claim it was a feature ...
In still wondering when they will start to blame website problems on republican sabotage?
Wow, MeshugeMikey! I like that gif! Be careful or Obama will be hunting you down to use your expertise to fix his website :)
Shut it down, immediately.
