Just secede already: The obstructionists aren’t going anywhere. Maybe we should

We don't want to live in Ted Cruz's America. He doesn't like ours. Maybe a split really is inevitable — and right

Yes, I know Michele Bachmann is from Minnesota and Steve King is from Iowa, but all this proves is that in the 150 or so years since the Civil War, the vituperative Confederate agenda of anti-Americanism has managed to spread its irresistible redneck poison into benighted pockets across the country. Kind of like Waffle House.

But to deny that the current attack on the federal government isn’t part of the hidebound Confederate agenda is to ignore the people who have engineered it and whose sedition will be rewarded with reelection

Much as Kentucky’s Mitch McConnell did in 2010 when he said that the “single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president,” Meadows’ legislative gambit revealed a man and a party absorbed in a classic state of Southern pique. It’s a pathology sadly worthy of Calhoun and his whole sorry legacy of tantrum-throwing quack parliamentarians who want to continue enjoying all of the benefits that come with being part of the United States without having to make any of the necessary sacrifices or compromises.

This guy (the author) has gone full retard, in public. Sheesh, trying to equate us with all the bad connotations of the Confederacy etc.

He's not the only, one, and there have been enough other insinuations that I have no doubt that it has actually gone out as a lib talking point somewhere, possibly on another hidden Journolist-type forum.

This column from WaPo last week was one of the first to come right out and make that accusation:

The Rise of the New Confederacy

Hey! I LIKE budgies and small kittens! They don’t grow up to be welfare parasites and hate-filled criminals.

Well don’t fall for it. They can only hook the 2 things together if you let them. Blacks think every white in the south is a cracker racist. That is never going to change. You will never be on the same side with the majority of blacks - ever. The Confederate Flag and other false connotations do not exacerbate the racist situation. With 50 years of AA and defacto reparations, the situation HAS ONLY GOTTEN WORSE.

Yeah there were idiots here in Michigan who wanted to secede when Bush was president. I took particular joy in reminding them that they’re surrounded by enemies within the state that they would have to deal with first.

Separate from the communist, Obama-voting, dopehead, fag-marriage “blue states?”

Yes, I’d support and vote for that in a split-second.

Well don’t fall for it.

Well, I'm not, but the low information, badly educated voters are, and I'm seeing this ugly little "racist" meme getting spread around by the libs everywhere, particularly in social media. That's how the "new Confederacy" column came up on my radar, a lib friend of mine posted it thinking that it was a fine piece of writing.

Do not concern yourself with them, YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO BE ON THEIR SIDE POLITICALLY - EVER. You are degrading yourself by thinking you can please them.

Because they know most low information voters don’t know that Lincoln was a Republican, most KKKs were Democrats and civil rights would not have passed if not for Republicans.

I remember being taught in college gov’t class that Republicans just eventually became the racist party while Democrats did the reverse. I gave that teacher a run for his money.

And the head democrat wanted George Bush to have two terms as president. Republicans must be racist for wanting obama to be a one term president. What an asshole this clown is.

Quit telling me what I already know. I don't GAF what they think or do. They need to worry what we Tea Party Conservatives are going to do.

whose sedition will be rewarded with reelection

Whenever a Marxist, Communist, Socialist, Progressive, Democrat (same thing), make statements using Confederates or Jim Crow Laws against Conservatives remind them that was the Democrats not the Republicans.

You are certainly correct that for the sake of TV blue once
represented the GOP and red represented the Democrats.
I’ve always been under the impression that the reason it
switched was because the asshat Democrats were butt hurt
because the association between the color red and
communism hurt their brand even though the association
was appropriate. I’m not even sure that many Dems of
today would care.

I have always believed that all we need to do is get the Left to think seceding is their idea and voila! We can each go our separate ways, no harm, no foul.

This is a start....
