Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush sat down with ABC News Chief White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl on Sunday for a discussion about the Republican tactics which led to the government shutdown. Bush said that he sympathizes with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) desire to defund the Affordable Care Act, but advised hi m to exercise a “bit of self-restraint” when it comes to tactics.
Bush began by taking aim at Cruz’s tactics. He observed that the GOP actually lost ground with the public over the course of the shutdown and ironically made significantly reforming the ACA that much harder.
“Tactically it was a mistake to focus on something that couldn’t be achieved,” Bush said.

Now I should add that I voted for him twice - and I still think he did a great job here, but all of that is past.

Now why is anyone paying attention to his opinions on what conservatives need to do?
Unless I’ve missed something, he is not in the Senate nor the House.
Unless he is going to run for some position in Texas - and I wish him luck if he can unseat a sitting dem - then he needs to pipe down and not alienate any more voters if he actually does have any future politicals aspirations.
I advise Jeb Bush to have a bit of “fight” in him.

Jeb showed self-restraint, when he sat idly by and watched Terri Schiavo being murdered.
True, he ASKED the murderers not to do it. Then he ASKED Congress to ASK some judges to ASK the murderers not to do it.
But when the time came for him to fulfill his duty as governor, and ACT to save Terri’s life, he showed self-restraint.
I will never forgive him—because he has never asked to be forgiven.

Unwillingness to take a stand on basic principles is the primary reason the GOPe is in decline.

If amnesty for illegal immigrants passes, then how does U.S. conservatism survive and take over the entire U.S.? Keep fighting, but conservatism is losing, very badly! The ongoing problems with the lack of conservatism in Massachusetts, ever since 1946, has gone national, now, with low information voters as the majority of U.S. voters, and adding millions of illegal immigrant voters to the total numbers of U.S. voters, too, will “set back” U.S. conservatism for hundreds of years, if not for always!
After eight years of Obama our country will be in terrible shape. There will be many people who will long for the good old days of a Bush presidency.
Hillary's reward for losing to Bush will be Zbigniew Brzezinski's job of enforcer on the Left for the elites who are in control behind the scenes. Imagine our surprise when Jeb Bush leads us into a new world order (just like Poppy Bush said) and a one-world currency as the "only effective solution" to our country's woes that the elites themselves created!
